Thoughts after attending the NDR

I was given a chance to attend the NATIONAL DAY RALLY held at the National University Cultural Centre ytd. It was my first time attending a speech made by our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong up close and personal.

PM Lee shared on the implementation of policies and infrastructures that will be seen in the next few years to come. He talks about issues pertaining to Education, Job opportunity and not forgetting Housing. He addresses the issue on such policy take have long term and short term effects that affects Singaporean by and large. It may be direct or indirect impacts on the citizens and even people around us. It will stir emotional reaction which may cause some social unrest or turbulence.

PM Lee also talks about the need to have an open market that attract foreigners into our shore as it increases the competitiveness and also upgrade the skills of the local. Though it may seems as a replacement of a local opportunity in the job market, PM Lee further explained that it is more of tapping on the foreign expertise and build up the international networks and link in the global market. As the immigration criteria are tighten, Local Singaporeans will not lose out in the job markets. Hence there is a need to take a balanced approach and upgrade total capability. Singapore has its unique local character development which makes us different from US market, Europe Market, even China and India. As we are the international hub, we have the minds of the East and West blending together to form our own unique Singapore Culture.

PM Lee also highlight issue close at hand such as the need to take care of the elderly needs due to ageing population, where there is a need to manage facilities to deter the negative impacts on society where family values are changed due to globalisation. Thus, there is a need to upgrade infrastructures and adapt to such development and plan and cater to such needs. Old Folk home shld not be a place where youngsters dump their old age parent there, but as a source of help to take care of the elderly where youngsters are busy at work and that it serve as an alternative of care providers. It is important that we enhance the social networks, nurturing the next generation of youth to be more empathic. As a saying goes “Ignore elderly Advice brings perils” “不听老人言吃亏在眼前”. Hence, we need to learn from the elderly as they have the experience and wisdom.

Next, PM Lee mention about the duty of govt which is to serve its people and being a servant of people. But this doesn’t mean that we become“yes” men, as rationale need to be considered and ensure that it is fair and sound. Often citizens treat public servant badly and it leaves them unable to solve things. PM Lee encourage the public servant to be firm and fair and treat each cases and scenario the best they can, and the govt will continue to support them. This will build strong relationship and draw out good solutions. Citizens shld den look into how to contain their attitudes and manner towards the public servants.

In the recent general elections, PM Lee notices the more vocal group of new generation that rise up. He noted that there is a need to engage the youths to be in partnership with the govt, so instead of complaining abt problems, y not be engage and be proactive to come out with solutions? This will make the country stronger rather then to cause division. Courtesy and mutual respect needs to be in hand in order to make it happen. It is all about social responsibility, being an active citizen to make Singapore a better place.

To end my reflection, stated by PM Lee o his final note on building Singapore: Past, present, future is that History and National Education are now what shaped us to have a common past, but what is more important is that we shld also work together to shape a common future, that is able to serve with passion with the hearts and minds, to create a greater sense of belonging and staying united and persevere through storms, building up the resilience in character.

Refreshing of the soul!!!

This wk was like a breeze so far, except for the amt of markings I have to do over the wkend. Lesson conducted with my class was engaging, I start to love them more and more!!! Still have some struggle in teaching English as I'm running out of resources and activity to keep the lesson more alive. I have been over dependent on the school resources, but not to worry, as this wk I will be having a few interesting activities to engage the students, such as charade, modelling and more.

I am so looking forward for this wk lesson, I really thank God for giving me the strength to stand up once more after a failed relationship, but I still thankful for the one I loved. It is really how God's show His grace in my life that help me tide through this situation in times. I also feel my love capacity increase after last wk svc.

This wk svc was also great as Rev Phil share about giving thanks, praise and worship to God who deserve our adoration. I really feel recharge being the same old me, actively involve in church and cg. I hope this turning point will help me through all difficulties faced in life. I also wish to work out my r/s with ppl ard me, to reconnect and build lasting r/s.

So once again, I would like to thank God for all the things He had done and provided for me, I praise him for making who I am today, I will also worship Him forever for my rest of my life. This is the vow I made 13 yr ago and I will continue to hold strong and press on to finish this race.

So many things had happened, but I am grateful that God's love is truly amazing which brings great restoration in my life during the First Svc at Suntec Convention Hall. Over the past few months was a turmoil and filled with bitterness. I start to hate myself and blame others for my hurt and rejection, I become a bitter gourd and sour grape. I even do things that ruin my 2 yr r/s. Sad I may be, angry I may feel, but that was a result when you fall out of love and let bitterness set in. I was reminded in the svc on sat where Pastor shared about "Love". At that moment, I was pondering and even doubting the notion, I was close up though I know God is all about love and building meaningful r/s.

As Pastor unfold the scripture and shared the word, those words hit me right into my faces, telling me not to doubt but keep on believing and hoping. I was challenged once again to feel love and experience the feeling once again. I was totally heartbroken when the worship song was being played. I felt the tangible presence of God surround me and healed me of all the sadness in me, the bitterness in me, the anger and hatred that arise over the past few months. It was as if all things had fall apart but God's word stand strong in my life at that instant moment of truth that set me free from the bondage.

The final word from pastor was to find the one who led you to Christ, and give the person a hug and thanks him/ her. But it happen that my CGL wasn't ard and those close CGL frens that I used to mingle with is also no ard. But God is truly good, he send me a long ago CG member to give me a slight nudge, yet the truly amazing one is that from the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar face which was the one that I was constantly reaching out during my CG days 2 yr ago. I quickly ran over to give him a hug and my heart was in a state of transformation and healing. God is truly good to me to remind me, my first love for Him, my partner, my frens, also the leaders that impacted my life.

I rmb after the svc, I really send out some msg to my loved one to thanks them for what they have done to me. Even to the one who I failed to keep up the promise, I also send msg to apologize. I was amazed at the peace that set in me after that. In fact, I even able to forgive s1 who I actually dun wish to talk to, and build the r/s again.

I really wan to thank God for the restoration, pastor for the sharing of the word.

I am now the newborn just like the very first time I am in love with God and the ppl ard me again. Without love, all thing become of no meaning, no sense,yet with love, all things become a wonderful display of Faith, Hope, Love!!!

1 Cor 13:7-8

Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

It is this powerful verse that keep me going. Hope this verse can enlighten you (those who read my post).

It hurts that i dun know wat to do next

It has been two mths since we break off. More than 3mths since we sit down to talk... How long I have to suffer in this silence... I really dun know how to move on... Though I search ard for new love, It juz bring me back to the day we first met.... I juz dun understand how to give up a 2 yr r/s so easily without even talking it out... I really wan to work thing out and hope can patch back juz like in the past... Holding hands, spend time tgt... But i really doubt that hope will ever come back... How to move on!!! How!!! Can S1 teach me the way!!!

God please heal my broken soul...

Guess after tahaning for this 2 yrs 3mths and 9 days… I guess it is coming to an end… Guess the fault lies in me for doing wat was not right at the first place… I am the one who initiate the problem and it had come to unstoppable event that could not be rectified. May be I am too harsh in treating this issue that resulted in an unwanted backfire.

But I guess I still appreciate the things that was being shared and spent. Though it was an immeasurable amount but just have to take it to heart and learn from experience. This time my patience is running out and maybe tt is the reason that I can’t hold on. I am too impatience in this and I guess I am the cause of the backfire. SO I am responsible for my action and have to bear the consequences by myself. Even as it pierces through my heart, but just have to absorb the Karma Effect….

Life just have to move on, maybe be more focus in future and work out a better future and treat it as a turning point in life. Guess tt is wat life is all about. Jon you can!!! If u believe!!! Be strong and let life live on….

My personal Life for the pass two yr in NIE!!!

This two year in NIE was not just about studying in NIE and having no personal touch in my lives. Saying so, I have actually become an active volunteer in Hong Kah North Community Club Youth Executive Committee (HKN CC YEC) as a Recreational Secretary. I was recruited in by my close fren, Xiao Hao to get to know more about volunteer work and grassroots organization and how they organize events for the community. Just before I officially joined their committee, I was involved in a program that People Association (PA) have organized under their Youth Movement Wing (PAYM) called “Youthslead”… I went thru 3 camps to get to know more about how PA works and How PAYM supports the notion that Youth can play a part in the community. It was truly a rewarding experience where you can see the dynamic that youth can play in the community when they are involved in shaping the future of Singapore. This ties in nicely into what I have been learning in NIE where teacher can make a difference in students’ life. Over here, you can see youth making an impact on the society and community.

Moving on, talking about my YEC ppl, they are truly a great worth of friends to be with… Though everyone have different desires and visions, we still work well as a team and coming tgt to do thing. Our chairman, Yee Kai Ling, brought all of us tgt with Izryn, (our previous CC staff in charge) to form this great committee in the 11^th term BGM in 2009. We planned a series of events after that, such as our CC DnD, Youthified, Xmas Party, Bike X... They are truly a fun group of ppl, hoping for a renewal growth after all the retreat and talk with the other committee from the CC, especially the CCMC. Also not forgetting our advisor, Dr Amy Khor, who oversees us, she was very encouraging and seems to show a great liking of me as she was surprise that I am becoming a teacher and yet volunteer in the organization… She was also shocked that I dun stay in the constituency too and is staying at the other extreme end of the country and yet come over to serve. Most of the senior grassroots are very nice to us and taught us a lot of stuff… Felt appreciated and the warmth they gave to us.

My personal life is basically covered between NIE and YEC, but not forgetting the SSO club that is formed with Sandy and Joyce. This club was formed to go for outing within the SS group, but we have additional ppl in the club like Ya Yin and Deborah, follow by Xiao Hao and Vincent, Den later the “subComm” Desmond…. We organize outing which allows us to relax from our NIE workload as our first aim, like gg for KTV @ Teo Heng, Meal to celebrate birthday, movies, clubbing and more…. Den when more people join us, the aim become more relaxing way and celebration and get along, meet-up session, catching up after holiday…

Tt is how my personal life revolves (YEC/ NIE/ NTU Hall 10/SSO club), sad to say that I not as active before in Church… Miss church!!! But every now and then, I do drop by the big event to visit the church that I always attended.

Now I am looking forward to my practicum in February and will be busy for the next 3 months to come. Will be tied down with busy schedule of lesson planning, conduct lesson, being observe for 10 lesson, prepare my student for mid-year exams… Stress is on the way, but if u put on a smile, it might just be a breeze passes…. Pray that I will have good CTs to guide me and assist me to pass my final practicum… Till den, I will be officially graduated from my course and become a full-time teacher… Here I come, my call to be a teacher that will make a difference in a new generation of students and leaders for our future society…

It has been a long time since I last blog about LIFE!!! It has been almost 2 yr since I last blog... NIE was an exciting yet tiring journey of my teaching career. Learn new stuffs and also find some stuffs redundant yet we have no choice but to follow suit as it was part of our assignment criteria.

Not just that about teaching without playing. I was given a chance to stay in NTU Hall 10 and make new friends that supported me all the way through my studies for the past two years... And I am kinda sad that I will be leaving them soon for my final practicum and wun had another chance to see them again till 3 months later... They are an enjoyable group of ppl.

During my first year, Jackson the PHD of Mahjong Academy had recruited me endless time to keep me entertained. James, the IT savvy and Design Guru, a very good fren for jokes was my good pal too... These two were the major dependent during my first yr of stay, but not forgetting the "Sing and Strum" ppl who I happen to join to participate in singing... I get to know ppl like Joy, Jonathan, Cornelius, Johnston, Guan Ying, Willy and more to name... These are the First yr of stay in Hall 10.

During the start of second year, I join the Freshmen Orientation Camp to bond with the Yr 1. I was nominated as the fake freshie to bond with them and through that, I make more friends in Hall 10 where I become the Nai Ba of Hall 10 Blk 52... My most beloved daughter Debbie was really someone I look up to due to her commitment and love for the Blk.... Next is Jonathan Ng, he was a great man of God, he is a great athlete, wise and witty, someone you can depend on in need... Not forgetting my two roomie son, Jasper and Aldis whom willing to allow me to share room with them as I din manage to get into hall... They are the nicest Uncle and Aunty to me... Accommodating my needs.... I was also given a chance to Chair Bike X 2011 for Hall 10, and had a great team of helpers from my beloved blk 52, ppl like Jonathan Ng, Jasper, Aldis, Patrick, Junio, Gerald, Kin Shun, Willy, Liyao, James and Jackson... Also support from my blk ppl like Calister, Guo Jie, Dean, Bo Yuan, Melvin though he not from my blk and also Blk 49, whom send the most participant for my event....

Reflecting back, my stay in Hall 10 was a memorable one where some of my course mates also drop by my hall to study tgt for exams, do projects discussion, held meeting there... I will definitely miss Hall 10, my second home...

Moving back to NIE... I was study basically English, Mathematics and Social Studies for my two yr course... Learn all the necessary stuff from various tutor that guide me and lead me on till now... Where I love some and hate some... It is quite typical for students to love some of their tutors and hate some so there is no need to feel offended or appreciated... But I still wan to thanks them for equipping me the skills... if not for them, I wun be able to appreciate the true meaning of how teachers can really shape the future generation to come... It is becuz of teachers, it create a new world of imagination and creativity for the modern society...

I was not juz a normal student in NIE who juz mug to get good grade... I joined a CCA club in NIE called Club Jeux. The functions of this club is to equip teachers to use board games to teach in class, to make lesson more meaningful and engaging... I join in as a secretary and later promoted to be the chairperson of the club... With limited manpower, I had done my very best to keep it going... Hope my successor can also do the same after me and bring it into a greater heights... Love Club Jeux...

Well, regards to my personal life, I will mention in the next post to come as this post is to reflect my studies life for the past two years.... Do take a look out in the next few days... :) Signing off in NIE campus...

The Feel of NIE!!!

It has been almost two months since I last Blog. I started my NIE in Aug 11, mixed feeling such as anxiety, excitement and more (I think those who are in NIE first time for their course, they also feel the same ba). I currently pursue my studies in English, Mathematics and Social Studies as my main core subjects, also we have to learn Education Psychology with comprises of additional module, ICT module and also 2 extra Grammar modules. Though there are so many modules and lesson, I'm glad that my lesson is only from Mon till Thurs, so my Friday is free for me to do my reading and catching up of lesson and do some notes and preparation for the next lesson.

Also I'm currently staying in the NTU Hall 10, it seems a happening place. Kinda know a few frens in my block , also other block which happen to be my course mates too. Like to highlight some of the new found close bond with my course mates especially Linda, Audrey, Sandra. They are my buddies for studies as we have most of our lessons together. Not forgetting Sandy who is my previous colleague in OEPS and Joyce her best buddies.

Now, we are all preparing to submit our assignment such as eChart, Edn Psy assignment which DED100, we have to submit 2 comments on discussion forum, a written report, and online quiz, DED103, we have to write a 1000 words essay on deconstruction, ICT we also have to plan out a lesson plan to touch on Cyberwellness. These are currently the stress point as we only left with 2 more week. Not forgetting all the reading materials and books that we need to read to finish our assignments............

Now I'm looking forward to my break which is the last wk of Sept, even den we are not spared as we also need to finish another set of assignment and also test will be coming up soon to evaluate how much we have learnt so much.

Now apart from schooling, I also have a good fair share of free time and times to do my personal things. Some of the upcoming events that I will be organize or helping out in the committee.

HKNCC YEC - I will be running my first yr for YEC under Hong Kah North CC. I join this volunteer groups since last yr Nov, have been an active members in organise events and help out. I was asked to be their emcee too for events. The event is host at Gek Pok Ville CC on 26 Sept 2009. Tickets at $5 each.
HKNCC DnD - I am in the committee holding the post of publicity (not very good at it but still manage to do a good job with helps). The event is host at The Pines on 20 Dec 2009.
Running my GESL Project under the charge of NIE Services Learning with a grp of 20 volunteers doing NIE courses. Details to be updated later.

Seems to me that I'm a happening person, doing alot of things in a short given time to use. But I'm happy that my life is full of activities and exposure which I find it beneficial to my future and also feeding my soul with sense of achievement and emotional needs.

Missing OEPS and moving on to NIE!!!

SO long since I last updated my blog... This yr have been a wonderful yr for me as I'm gg to embark onto a new journey of studying for my future career.

The first half of the year I have been teaching in OEPS (Opera Estate Primary School) as my contract begins. [Refer to the earliest post on what I am teaching]. It was a enjoyable journey with a lots of friendship bond with the Teachers who are teaching there as well as the students. I can say it is a sad feeling to leave them but I have no choice but to pursue my dreams in studying and equipping myself to be a better teacher.

My NIE is starting ard the end of July and I'm so looking forward to it. I hope I can enter into the course I want and able to fulfill my dreams in the next 5 years.

A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in a seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr. Smith . She says that Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons. One particular day, Sally walked into the seminary and knew they were in for a fun day. On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts. Dr. Smith told the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who had made them angry, and he would allow them to throw darts at the person's picture. Sally's friend drew a picture of who had stolen her boyfriend. Another friend drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a picture of a former friend, putting a great deal of detail into her drawing, even drawing pimples on the face. Sally was pleased with the overall effect she had achieved. The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the students threw their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart.

Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled with disappointment when Dr. Smith , because of time limits, asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking about how angry she was because she didn't have a chance to throw any darts at her target. Dr. Smith began removing the target from the wall. Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus; holes and jagged marks covered His face and His eyes were pierced.

Dr. Smith said only these words....' In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me .' Matthew 25:40. No other words were necessary; the tears filled eyes of the students focused only on the picture of Christ. This is an easy test; you score 100 or zero . It's your choice. If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions.

Jesus said, ' If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you, before My Father.' Not ashamed... pass this on. Ashamed .. . delete it.

Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Isn't it funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Isn't it funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. Or is it scary? Isn't it funny how someone can say ' I believe in God ' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God ). Isn't it funny how you can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and! they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord , people think twice about sharing . Isn't it funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace. Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week. Are you laughing? Isn't it funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them. Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. Will YOU pass this on? ... I just did.

It have been long since I last Blogged!!! It is almost 4mths... Currently I am busy with School as I taught in Opera Estate Primary School as a Contract teacher and getting used to the teaching world. I spend one term there so far and learn alot of valuable lesson mixing with teachers and students.

As for Students, I am currently teaching mostly in P6 level in terms of Foundation Maths and Science, Health Education, Library, Civic and Moral Education and Physical Education. Next is, I taught P2-4 Arts lesson, P4 Social Studies, P3 Health Education. Notice it is a wide spread of lesson. I think it is to prepare us for wide based learning. But I was wondering whether the students will benefit from it. My point of view is more into Specialised Teaching. Maybe to teach one or two level at most and not over 4 different levels and also Specialised in Subject will also be a good alternative. But I still Like TEACHING!!! n some of the kids are worth my effort. Hee!!! But I will do my best to cater as much as I can to their needs and learn to appreciate their differences and be a good role model.

As for teachers, I have good experience with most of the teaching staff in Opera Estate. In particularly is some of the friendship bond I have with some teachers, Like Ms Nursidah, Ms Toh Hui Ing, Ms Sharon Tan. These 3 teachers are like my buddy buddy in school whenever I need help or assistant. Next is the Secondary Level of friends like Mdm Illmah who like to joke ard, Mr Abdullah the drama coordinator, Mr Ray the song bird,Ms Annie Tan with Ms Tong and Mrs Irene Lim, the three sisters in OEPS whom I always chat and joke with them. These 9 teachers are very valuable in my Stay in OEPS. Not forgetting the HODs that provides assistant and information. Under the English department, I have Mdm Azlina, where I will be assisting them in some areas. Under my subject teaching, I will be working closely with Mrs Sharin where P6D is under my care and hers to, Mrs Nair my reporting Officer and also things related to Science and her class. Not forgetting Mdm Norah as I will be down for RElief. Haha!!! I also manage to make some more friends though we seldom talk much like Ms Dayanah, Mr Osman, in regards to Social Studies and Physical Education.

Apart from School work (job), I am also active in my Youth Group doing community work. Recently I join the service learning club for an activity held in HQ PA (headquarter of People Association) to allow students to explore the community around them. I was a facilitator and enjoy myself with them though the activity played. Besides that, in the Youth Group, I was even tasked to do some events and get to know more people and also planned activities like BGM, Dinner and Dance, and more to come. I also like engaging moment when I attend their forum talk which can stimulates my thinking skills... I am just an analytical person... U know like those debate personal but not in those rebuttal mode but into thinking process.

Last but no lest, is that I have time with my close friends like Sam n Jaja. Our friendship is forged during our secondary days and it is still on-going now. We have been meeting up for meals and chit chat about our past and present. Also my new formed friendship* with Xiao Hao too. Interesting bonds with HKNCC YEC like Izyrn, Kai Ling, Mun Leng.

That is more or lest what have happening since Dec till now. Busying in OEPS and HKNCC YEC.

Today is the second day of the First Inaugural Asia Conference organised by City Harvest Church. The first day of the conference took place on Wed afternoon where Rev Kong Hee did the opening session sharing with us some of his background in hosting this First Asia Conference in the region that hit an international recognition among the Christian World but also in the society that even non-christians are talking about this convention that hits Singapore and all over the world is talking about it... After a heartfelt lunch with Rev Kong where he feed almost 13000 ppl in Hall 7 of Singapore Expo,the congregation is split into different places for their own different electives that they have sign up for. These electives are held in a few places within Singapore Expo, such as in Hall2,3,8 and 10 and some of the smaller conference rooms in Expo. We have a total of 29 electives program going on concurrently which allows not just the local congregations of CHC or affliate churches, it is also open to other churches locally and internationally which comprises of Asia countries as our main focus, but also countries from other continents that comes to join this event. After the electives, the congragation gather back at Hall 7 for their dinner b4 the opening svc at 730 in Hall 8. A total of over 20000 ppl attend the first session. It was an awesome session.

The Second day started off in the morning @ 9am with Rev Phil Pringle. Followed by Rev Ulf Ekman session den Lunch with Rev Phil Pringle follow by the electives den session with Rev Ulf Ekman session.

I have received complain tt my blog is too spiritual and does not contain my life!!! Tt is not very true, if u read carefully enough, you can actually see my life and y I blog certain things... Oki anyway not to argue whether my blog got stuff abt my life or not, it is after all a blog tt record memories in my life...

A quick recap of wat happen so far in this 10 and a half month...
Jan - Mar
I have been busy teaching in East Spring Sec Sch in the morning den in the afternoon I taught in a few tuition centre... My teaching scope in ESSS is a PE, PCCG, CPA teacher... Whereas in the tuition centre, I taught a range of studies like English, Maths and Science ranging from k2-sec 3... Quite a hectic mth and schedule...

Apr - Jun
I quit my morning job in ESSS and went to attend School of Theology but still continue my afternoon work as a tuition teacher... Had alot of wonderful encounter during my SOT times.

Jul - Aug
I quit my job and concentrate on my final lap in SOT, attending conferences, missions trips, preparation for Graduation... Finally in Aug 23 and 24, I graduated from SOT...

Aug - Oct
I went back to teaching and was at Changkat Changi Sec Sch teaching maths... Had wonderful times and know a few frens... Like Iman, Huili, Liana, Samson and Jocelyn... It is the relief teacher gang... I also applied for MOE courses and was successfully enrolled as a contract teacher... Will be gg for more NIE course and become a full pledged teacher soon I guess...

Though half a mth have just passed... I have been busy preparing for Asia Conference, My church first inaugural Asia Conference which is only 2 days away and thousands of delegates from 72 countries will be joining us for these 5 days! An extraordinary lineup of world-renowned speakers and top worship leaders from around the world will be with us and we are believing God for life-transforming encounters to take place that will lead us into greater spiritual breakthroughs. We will also be featuring special performances by world-renowned singers, Carola Häggkvist, Don Moen and Sidney Mohede! I am more den excited for the events to come and is ready to serve for the ppl who are coming to fellowship with us... I am so looking forward to it...

This verse speaks of the Godly Fear of the Lord that allows victory and blessing of God to be upon ur life, which surpasses any thing on Earth which u can accquires in ur life...

Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? ... I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Wat can separates u from the Lord is often things that have taken over ur life that make God not first in ur life but secondary or third or even further den ur very own heart... But u must understand one thing is that the Lord yearns to be near u, r u near to God den? So make a decision of choice and decide where u wan to be with the Lord!!!

I will give thanks to You, O Lord; for though You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away, and You comfort me. Behold, God, my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and song; yes, He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:1-2 (Amplified Bible)

This five verses shares on God's mercy towards mankind and how we can depend on Him and gain strength to face the evil of this world and be an overcomer in our realm of influence!!! Whenever we feel lousy and bad abt ourselves, how we can seek God and receives acceptance and grace and power to continue on and keep keeping on with our lives. Having the Word of God in ur life thru meditation on God's word can propel u into the next level of ur faith in God. As God promise that when u draw near to Him, He will definitely draw near to u, and in all circumstances it is the Lord who Fight for U!!!

And the end of ur situation is always God has the victory and control over ur life!!!

God gave us a commandment to love ppl and exercise our faith, it is when we love tt our faith is strengthen and activated and become alive. We are to love His word and be a doer of His word... When we graft ourselves to Christ which is the True vine in our lives, we are part of His life and body, what is of the past have been passed away, a new beginning have just started... It is a process of santification where we tap not on our natural strength but on the strength of God and the Spirit of God which live in us... In times of trouble to come, we can ask from God and seekl Him and that our prayer will be answer!!!

What is Fear?

Was listening to Joyce Meyer Podcasts and came across this qns!!! What is Fear? To different ppl, fear means different things!!! To some is lost of love, timid of height, afraid of these, afraid of that... So fear have different meaning to different ppl. Often fear cloud the minds of ppl and hinder them from moving on and progressing onwards in life... Thus, Joyce gave this definition of fear as "False Evidence Appearing Real". It is so cool and the acronym used really means what fear actually done to ppl. It make it look real that we dun dare to do it and we take tt as real as truth.

So we shld now allow fear to set into our hearts, we shld all be bold and lean on God's strength whenever we can and move on in life and live a life of purpose!!! In doing so, we will not need to fear but can press on in life!!!

Ytd I went to Fabulous studios to try the trial Fish Therapy, it was like so cool and fun... It was kinda scary at first but after a while sitting in the pool where fishes start to bite your old skins away was so awkward but yet interesting... It was my first time but I guess I may go back to try again or if not maybe I will go Japan to try the actual one there...

Ytd I also went for Discipleship meeting... It was a experiential encounter as Kenneth share on Leadership... It is an important topic as I have learnt in SOT that "Everything rises and falls with leadership!!!" So a leader plays an important role in a team or ppl's lives. Even when you din make a decision on a matter, it is also equivalent to making a bad decisions. No decision is also a decision!!! Good leadership leads to a rise & bad leadership leads to a fall. There is seldom an absence of leadership but poor leadership as you are yourselves a leader in ur own sphere of frens. So start to take responsibilities.

Great Leader does the follow things:
1. Gives quality to the ppl.
Great leaders always strive to give their best not substandard things.
2. Carry & cast visions that are beneficial to the team. (Godly)
A vision inspires ppl, and more importantly inspire new leaders.
3. Build on God's Word.
We may have good experience to share with ppl, but the most impt is to have the fresh rhema & revelation from God to lead our life.
4. Sows into the next generation.
Today's children are tomorrow's world & future.
How can we influence the next generation? Dun forget they will grow up to leads our world!!! If the wrong value are instill in them and right values are ignored in educating them, what will the world become in the future?
So prevention is always better than cure. Y not let us do sth to impact this generation so that the next generation will be able to take up our role models and continue the legacy that we have sow into their lives.

Ytd I went for CG at JianDa's house, during praise and worship session, I sense God's prompting on the word I shared last wk during testimony time. So sensing the prompting, I flick to that verse and wait upon the Lord for understanding!

The verse I shared is taken from Psalm 50:14-15
Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High,
And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you,
and you shall honor and glorify Me.

In this verse, it shared abt how we can offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
1. We need to first offer thanks for wat God had done in our lives, in doing so we are paying our vows to Him.
2. In return, it says we can call on Him in day of trouble, He will surely deliver us.
3. When He had deliver us, we will honor and glorify Him.

Den I start to ask God how do we offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving. He brought me into remembrance that when the early Israelites offer sacrifices in the wilderness, the steps of offering up the sacrifices:
1. Find an animal without blemishes. (decision).
2. Kill the animal and drain out the blood. (cleansing).
3. Separate the body parts and fats. (sanctification).

So God pointed to me to the next chapter of Psalms in Ps 51:10-17
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart — These, O God, You will not despise.

Over here in verse 10, we see that we shld make a decision to have a clean heart to follow after God. which is similar to decision making to follow God and a decision to be cleansed by God's Blood. When we ask God to create a new heart, we are also humbly come b4 God for forgiveness and like a child seeking his father's love. It is likens to offer a sacrifices without blemishes and being humble b4 God. In verse 17, it also mention abt being broken and contrite towards God.

When you are humble, broken and contrite, you will be able to be shaped by God easily and He will be able to mould you and lead you into your destiny.

Understand another key is that God owns everything but why do He still need your sacrifices to Him?
It is very simple as God want you to be grateful of the things He blessed you. When you know how to be appreciative of the things you will also learn to care for His ppl. In doing so, you become a channel of blessings and God can continuously poured His blessing over your lives and He knows that you will always poured it out to others and be a blessor like He is.

And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

I like the verse it says that our delight and desire should be in the law of the Lord; and on His Law we shld habitually meditates day and night. Everytime when I was in crisis or even whenever I'm free I like to meditates on God's word as it always give me refreshing revelation on the things that is to come and I will always be encourage to do more for the Lord as His word of encouragment thru reading the word always lead us into prosperity in the soul!!!

As Arise and Build is ard the corner, I really encourage the members to get into the word to get the rhema that God has prepare for you!!! So let us really move out of our comfort zone and press on the the prize that is ahead of us.

If it had not been the Lord Who was on our side when men rose up against us, Then they would have quickly swallowed us up alive when their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us and swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; Then the proud waters would have gone over us.

It is really that when we relies on the Word of God in our life that we can be dependent on Him in times of troubles. When you have God on your side, you will not worries of the thing that is to come as you can simply relax and trust God to do the rest when you are faithful in His commandments and words.

So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. DO you have the faith it takes

I've heard people say, "You never know what God is going to do." But we do know! His Word tells us that He does things by faith. Faith is the way God operates. Hebrews 11:6 says, Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. We want to please God and receive His promises, so we want to learn how to use our faith.

Faith is simple. It's the language that God speaks. Colossians 1:13 says that salvation hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. That means a Christian lives in a new kingdom where the language of faith is spoken.

If you went to Spain and everyone was speaking Spanish, you'd think, To function here, I'm going to have to learn to speak Spanish. That's exactly what it's like in the kingdom of God. To receive God's promises, we need to learn to speak the language of faith. In Spain you'd think, How do I say that in Spanish? and in God's kingdom you'd think, How do I say that in faith?

Just like any new language, the language of faith must be learned. In the past, you may have said what you saw and felt. But the language of faith says what the Bible says. For example, if you're sick, the language of faith says what I Peter 2:24 says-"Thank You, Lord, that by Your stripes I am healed." Pain may say you're not healed. But the power of God is activated when you speak His Word so that God can do the work He wants to do in your life.

Dear All,

It have been a long time since I blog. The reason why I am back here was when one of my students ask me whether I have blog, den I rmb I haven been blogging since after SOT and I started work in CKSS as relief teacher... It was so fun teaching there and I kinda like the environment there, but too bad I applied for Dip in Edn, and I can only teach in Pri Sch next time. Hope I can upgrade my status fast enough to be able to teach in Sec Sch soon.

I feel so refresh recently from the book I am reading now called "Become a Better You" By Joel Osteen... It was a great book that teaches you on how to become a better person. I have alot of insight thru reading this book and it give me the encouragment to draw myself into a bigger picture and step out in faith to do the impossible. It have been so long since I last doing things in Church and Home to be a blessing and encourager. After reading this book, I have a new sense of purpose and is really to equip myself and start to bless the community that I am reaching out too...

I was thinking of having a morning prayer in my current school and really hope revival can breakforth from there... Looking forward and into the Author of my faith as He had overcome the world, now is the time for us to Arise and Build. Pressing on to the dreams to be able to lead a group of ppl who are willing to serve and bless the community as it is hard to find servant and sons of God in these current situation...

It have been so long since I last blog... For the past few wks, I have been busy with mission trips, preparation for graduation and stuff. It was a tight and busy schedule and also alot of tests and exam... But all is finished and I am glad to present myself with the advanced certificate of theology from City Harvest Bible Training School... I am now a graduate and alumni for CHBTC... I am so proud of myself!!! Now I hope for more to come after SOT... Now, I am thinking of whether to continue my study in NIE or as PTE student for mass communication... A decision I have to make b4 next year... I hope to hear some comment from my frens....

Rod of God / Man of God who saved the people?
God works thru man not methods, ppl not systems. Wisely methods to use but God wants us to be used for the Kingdom of God. It was the man who is holding the rod.

Where is Jesus Address? He should be reside in your heart.
Faith explode from within your heart, miracles will start to happen.
Anointing flow through honor and relationship with the man of God.

Reason why God use man? Because he has a servant heart. Jesus is the servant of all as He humble Himself. When you serve, you will experience blessings of hope, joy, love. Being secure of self to be a servant.

4 Things we need to be secure in:
1.Self - Image : How you see yourself
You can have a safe heart but not have the mind of God. A revelation of who God is and it imprint the nature of God within us. Gen 1:28
Having Jesus Blood & DNA as we are now a new creation in Christ. When you pray, the Holy Spirit gives you vision.
2.Self - Worth : How you value yourself
Your worth is more than silver and gold. You are more valuable in God's eyes. You are worth His Son's death on the cross for our sins.
Rom3:21-22
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
3.Self - Esteem : How you feel about yourself
Faith is a feeling you have. You got to have feeling and encounter with God. Feeling and encountering Godis what your Christian life is depended on.
Pro 23:7
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Faith works by love, accepted by God.
4.Self - Respect : How I honor my dignity
Apart from God, we are nth. we are seated in the heavenly, children of the King of kings, Lord of lords. I am a royalty. You are King's Kid -> Prince & Princess of the Most High God. Servanthood is not being servile but be cool and classy.

Prayer is important!!!

So many days have past since I last blog... It have been a busy mth... After preaching test, we have a wonderful encounter and session with Pst Mike Connell for deliverance service, it was great and we learn alot of thing. We learn how to expel demons and experience inner healing with strong presence of God. We also have some practice in class and service. I have some experience ministering delieverance too. There is this one guy in svc who suddenly manifested when his CGL prayed for him and he started to become violent. I quickly went over to help. As the security try to pin him down in vain and was kena pushed away, I juz placed my hand on his face and instantly he calm down. Den I prayed for him and minister to him... It is so exciting.

After the deliverance svc, we had fivefold ministry lesson with Pst Ming, it was so fun. He taught us so many thing. After that this wk we had Rev Joshua Hong who taught us on the school of prayer. He taught us all the techniques we can engage into prayer.

Miraculous encounter with God!!!

Had a wonderful encounter of deliverance and inner healing svc with Mike Connell from New Zealand. He taught us in Bible School and minister to us and impart to us the anointing of God in setting ppl free from demons and spirit that bound ppl's lives and hinder them to progress on. We also learnt alot of things from him and had a awesome time experience God and learning how to move in God's anointing. I thank God for His word "The Joy of the Lord is my strength and He is always by our side". This is what I learnt during this week. Truly indeed, We are to minister God's love to others, only in that ppl will not rely on their own's strength or worldly strength, but they will always lean on God's strength as it supersede all things on earth. Nth can replace the power of God's love.

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

Colossians 3:23-24 (Amplified Bible)

Jesus come to Earth to set us free from the bondage of Satan, so we need to understand how to be free. We need to surrender ourselves to God and release forgiveness and cast the demons out of our life, den we are able to receive God's healing and minister Love to them.

Doctors Treat, but God Heals

There are several time-honored Bible ways of receiving your healing. One method is by the laying on of hands. Jesus said all believers "will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover" (Mark 16:18 nkjv). That verse doesn’t say anything about your needing a special calling. Every born again believer is to have a ministry of healing.

Healing can also come through medical treatment. Jesus put His stamp of approval on medical science when He said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick" (Matthew 9:12 nkjv). God approved of prayer for healing in James 5:15 nkjv which says, The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

The concept that the streams of medical science and prayer work together to bring healing came through my father’s ministry many years ago. In the Bible the apostle Paul laid hands on the sick and they were healed; Luke, the physician, treated them medically and they were cured.

I don’t limit God in the way He heals. When I get a headache, all I want to do is get well. So I pray and take a couple of pain relievers. I don’t really care which one works. I don’t put my faith in the prayer, nor do I put my faith in the medicine. I put my faith in God, who is the Source of both. No matter which one works, I give the glory for the healing to Him.

As you seek the healing you need, focus on and give the glory to God, the Source of each and every healing miracle!

A young man writing to his father about an upsetting personal problem said, “Dad, yesterday I put this whole matter into the Lord’s hands and asked Him to help me. At times like this I often think of when I was a little boy and you and I would go fishing. Remember how I would get my fishing line all tangled up? Finally I would hand the whole tangled mess over to you, and you would smooth it out. I’m trying to learn to do that with the Lord now-turn my problems over to Him and not pull at the line too much before I give it to Him.”

Impossibilities!

Difficulties!

How tangled some of our problems become!

And it seems as if the knots of difficulty become tighter as we try to struggle through them in our own strength. Maybe you are wrestling with a problem that looks too complicated for it to ever work out. Do what this young man did. Turn the whole thing over to your loving heavenly Father. Psalm 115:9 TLB says, Trust the Lord! He is your helper. If you trust the problem to Him, He can untangle the knotty impossibility that is troubling you so.

Now commit the situation to God with this prayer.

Father, this problem is too much for me. I hand it over to You right now, knowing that with You all things are possible...

Finally finished my TEN sermon preparation for the preaching test for my SOT modules. I was at the library planning and restructuring since 12pm till now. Finally all s finished and I can move on to the next things I need to do for my course in SOT. Have to finish my bible reading...

It has been the third days since the day we start on the preaching test this Mon 23 Jun 08. I freak out on the first day as it was the previous evaluator I had for my Mock cg test and he(wenkai) commended on my grammar that I was so conscience about his words that when I go up to preach, I was like stammering. But he commended was a heartfelt messages as he did during the mock cg test, and hope that I should build my confidence more but there isn't much grammar mistake and he think it was good. I think I was more afraid of him den anyth happens on tt day. Tue was better, it was a female evaluator called Marie. She din comment much for my preaching cuz she say she was impress and have no problem with my message. A great breakthrough for me. Today is another evaluator which I heard is Bro Po's brother. He was strict and yet he say my message was good but I have to be careful on my tone variation and loudness. So far Preaching test is great and my life is build on it daily and two more days to go before it is over but I'm glad I have finished all preparation. Amen to God!!!

Next wk will be the deliverance service with Mike Connell. Can't wait wat will happen during his lesson and service when we will learn to lay hands and pray for deliverance.

It have been so long since I last blog abt myself in SOT. Alot of things have taken place lately. From April till now, it have been three months in SOT. Finished lesson such as FT2, GOTP, HCGL, GOHS, Homiletics, Having Chapel svc with ppl like Rev John Sim, Troy Marshall, Che Ann, Robb Thompson, and also te most exciting test called MOCK CG test. I was asked to lead in three section such as warmth, welcome and word. Now I can't wait for preaching test the next hurdle to be over and for Mike Connell's deliverance svc next wk where we will learn how to pray for ppl and lay hands on them. So far I also finished reading a lot of books and complete most of my assignment. Some books which I have read: Spirit filled believers' Handbook by Derek Prince, Good Morning Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn, How to prepare Bible messages by James Braga, The Church of the Living God by Ulf Ekman, Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit by Lester Sumrall. I thank God fo the strength and sustainability to complete them. Really hope in Two months time the Graduation will be a great reward for me. There is still 3 more books to complete. Here I am, going all the way to serve God and receive impartation from Him. Hee!

When You Suffer Losses, Recovering Your Losses!!!

Have you ever been so heartbroken that you wept until you could weep no more? Anyone who has lost a spouse or a family member or a dream knows what it is to have the tears flow until you say, "I can't cry anymore. I've got no more tears."

First Samuel 30 tells how David, a man after God's own heart, reacted when he lost everything. When he returned from battle, he discovered that the enemy had slipped in and burned the city where he lived and taken his family captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.... But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God (vv. 3,4,6 NKJV).

When we suffer losses, we aren't without weapons. We have the Bible, we live a life built upon faith rather than sight, and miracles are accessible to us. I've been in the valley of the shadow of death and felt such heartache that I thought I would die. So what I'm talking about is no fairy tale. I've experienced loss. Through David's experience, God shows us four supernatural ways to recover what the enemy has stolen from us.

The first supernatural way David recovered his loss was to inquire of the Lord. David could have become bitter and turned his back on God, but he didn't. He didn't inquire of others who were suffering as he suffered because they could have only offered their tears. Instead, David went to God. When your life falls apart and your losses are mounting, do as David did. Call on the Lord, and He will hear you, just as He heard David.

The second supernatural way to recover your losses is to encourage yourself in the Lord. David turned to God for strength (I Samuel 30:6). You can't handle discouragement and loss alone. Psalm 27:14 says, Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart.

The third supernatural way to recover your losses is to get someone to go into a prayer of agreement with you. David found an army of 600 men who were willing to go into agreement with him to defeat the enemy and recover all that had been stolen (I Samuel 30:18,19).

A prayer of agreement is not to be taken lightly. It means finding someone who understands that all of life is spiritually based, someone who will agree with you in prayer according to Matthew 18:19 and not come out of that agreement until God answers.

The fourth supernatural way to recover your losses is to fight until you win. First Timothy 6:12 NKJV says, Fight the good fight of faith. No one is going to fight your battle for you. You're going to have to fight it. And it's not easy. Expect the devil to hate you and fight you constantly because what you have as a believer is so great. Realize that you're in spiritual warfare and that satan will do everything in his power to pull you down. But as you stand by faith, you win! The Bible says, David recovered all! (I Samuel 30:19).

What is Faith?

Many people are confused about exactly what faith is. We talk about it, hear it preached in our churches, and read about it in the Bible. God says in Habakkuk 2:4, The just shall live by his faith. But what is faith, really? That's a question I asked God when I was trying to find His direction for my life. And this is what He said to me:

"Faith is a knowing. It's when the Holy Spirit supernaturally empties your heart of doubt and fills you with a knowing so that you know that you know that you know. And in that moment of knowing, you can't doubt."

I suddenly realized something about the Holy Spirit that I didn't know before. He has the power to supernaturally empty my heart of doubt and fill it with a knowing and a confidence that comes from God. That was a profound thought for me because I was plagued with many doubts.

As I listened to God, He gave me the Scripture in Romans 4:17 which tells us to have the faith of God, who called those things that be not as though they already were! All of a sudden I got it. That was an illustration of faith and how it works.

That revelation helped establish me in my Christian faith as a young preacher. I believe that once we understand this idea, we can go beyond theory to action, and we can act with certainty concerning whatever we're believing God for. This is when miracles happen!

It's so important for us to put our trust in God as our Source and not in money. I've learned to sow my seed to God as an act of my faith because He is my Source. I sow when I'm facing a need and when I'm not facing a need. I sow seed all the time. It's a continual seed-sowing operation because I need a continual harvest. I make certain that my tithes and offerings are up to date. I want to be current with God. I want my heavenly checkbook to be balanced.

Philippians 4:17 says that our giving is fruit that abounds to our account in heaven. If I have an account in heaven, I want to be sure I have a good balance there, not a negative balance! Verse 19 says that God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory, which is where my heavenly account is. But if I've got a zero balance, then I'm in trouble.

Seed is not just money. Seed involves your obedience-doing what God tells you to do. It may be giving a seed of your love, your time, a smile, or a word of encouragement. The Amplified version of verse 17 says that what you sow becomes fruit which increases to your credit-the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account. When you need it, God can open your heavenly account and pour you out blessings so great that there will not be room enough to receive them (Malachi 3:10,11). That's how Seed-Faith works!

You Belong to God! Forgiveness...Your Path to Freedom

Sickness and disease are the work of the devil. The Bible makes this clear in John 10:10 NKJV when Jesus said, “The thief [devil] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Jesus came to earth so that He might destroy the devil’s evil works that try to attach themselves to our lives. First John 3:8 NKJV says, The devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Maybe you’re faced with a physical problem in your back or hips. Or maybe you have failing eyesight. You may have a problem with your hearing or some other problem, such as stuttering. Maybe your knees are bothering you. You may have an asthma condition and have trouble breathing. Whatever it is, Jesus came to destroy satan’s evil works. So right now let’s set our faith in agreement with God’s Word and believe Him for the miracle you need as I pray:

In the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come into agreement with you against sickness, against fear, against doubt, against whatever it is that is trying to attach itself to your life. Jesus was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. You belong to God! So I say, satan, take your hands off God’s property. I come against your evil works and command them, in the Name of Jesus, to stop. Amen.

In Numbers 12 the Lord tells us what we should do when people do us wrong. Verse 1 says that Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman he had married. Now frankly, it was none of their business who Moses married, and they even went so far as to say, "Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" (v. 2 NKJV). They were treading on dangerous ground, and the Bible says in verse 9, The anger of the Lord was aroused against them. As a result, Miriam was struck with leprosy.

Now when somebody decides to judge you and stick their two cents' worth into your business, your human instinct might be to say, "Let's take 'em down!" Moses could have easily said, "It serves you right for talking about my wife that way!" But look at verse 13: Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, "Please heal her, O God, I pray!" Instead of crying out for vengeance, Moses prayed for mercy! So God healed Miriam and blessed Moses for his forgiving spirit.

It takes a big person to pray for someone who is coming against them. But God is saying, "Release that person. Don't hold it against them." We've all been hurt, lied to, or made fun of. But when you forgive those who have done you wrong and pray for them, it does two things: First, it allows them to see the love of God in operation, and they may get saved as a result. Second, it releases you from the terrible bondage of unforgiveness, and nothing will be held against your account. Forgiveness can be your path to freedom!

Power of God's Love!!!

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.

His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had, that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment, and frustration.

Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

'Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot, I don't know how. It is not fair Lord, I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray you teach me to do the one thing I cannot do: Teach me to
forgive .'

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.

He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

'Have you ever told a lie?' He asked?

The man answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?'

The man answered - 'Yes. Lord.' And the man sobbed more and more.

'Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?' Jesus asked?

And the man answered, 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?'

The man, crying now, answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

As Jesus asked many more times, 'Have you ever'? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - 'Yes, Lord'.

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.

Jesus said, 'I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you.'

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.

Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

A Clear Principle for Receiving

I believe that the greatest sermon ever preached was preached by Jesus, and it's called the Sermon on the Mount. The last thing the Lord said in this famous sermon is found in Luke 6:38. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

Here we see the spiritual principle of sowing and reaping. That principle makes clear that we reap what we sow, we reap more than we sow, and we reap later than we sow. If we sow wheat, we will reap a harvest of wheat. We will also receive more grain than we planted, and we will harvest it at a later date than when we planted it.

The principle of sowing and reaping works the same way no matter what you sow. If you sow forgiveness, you will receive forgiveness. If you give friendship, you will reap a harvest of friends. If you show kindness to someone, you will be shown kindness in return. Good things go into action supernaturally on your behalf the moment you give. Jesus said that with the same measure, or liberality, you give, it shall be given to you again. You receive in abundance, pressed down or compacted, shaken together so that there are no empty spots, and running over. There is a surplus. It's more than can be contained!

God, who desires to meet every need we have, has given us a clear and simple principle for receiving from His hand. It's this: Sow liberally into the areas where we wish to receive from His abundance!

We all know that things don't always go the way we want them to. But we can choose how we respond when things don't go our way. Instead of getting upset, whether it's over something big or little, we can choose to be content.

Nehemiah 8:10 says, The joy of the Lord is your strength. Some people misunderstand the joy of the Lord. It's not a ha-ha-ha like you have when you watch I Love Lucy or a funny movie. The joy of the Lord is a peace inside that sustains you and gives you strength the world can't take away, even in tough times. But you can't have joy in tough times unless you learn to have it in the every-day things of life. If you choose to walk in joy when the car won't start or things go wrong on the job, you are more likely to have joy when crises come.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:11-12, I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Paul was saying that he had learned to be content whether things were going his way or not. He chose how he was going to respond to life's ups and downs.

That doesn't mean we're not to keep believing God for things to get better. We certainly have times when we get up in the air, and we have to bring ourselves back down. But we turn to the Lord and say, "God, help me with this." If we practice looking to God as our source of help, then when things don't go right, we can turn the situation over to Him, knowing He can take care of it. We learn to have joy and to be content by practicing it every day.

Controlling Your Thoughts

God gave us a mind to use, but there are times when we have to get out of our mind, so to speak, and into the Spirit. How do you set your mind aside in those times when you need to operate in the Spirit? By getting your mind in shape. And you get your mind in shape by bringing it under the control of the Holy Spirit. It's important to get your mind in shape because if satan can defeat you in your thought life, he can separate you from your faith and what you believe. You can keep your thoughts under control by doing what the Bible says: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5). We can't stop our thoughts, of course. They come. But once ungodly thoughts come, we have to say, "No! Down, flesh! I will not entertain that thought." Then you put on the mind of Christ by renewing your mind with the Word of God. Romans 12:2 NKJV says, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Think of it as washing yourself in the Word-of taking a bath in it. When you immerse yourself in God's Word, the truth of the Word wells up within you and you can effectively come against the attacks of the devil in your mind. God needs to know if He can trust us with doing the little things He asks, because if we won't do the little things, how can He trust us to do the big things? God said in Jeremiah 7:23 NIV, "Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you." Obedience is the key. No matter what God calls you to do, be it large or small, obey Him. Then He can begin to bless you abundantly!

God Is a Good Father

Many people think God uses sickness and disease to teach His children lessons. But if I were to teach one of my children a lesson by striking them blind or giving them cancer, I would be an unfit parent! God is not an unfit parent.

Jesus is a perfect reflection of the heavenly Father. And Acts 10:38 tells us that He went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. Part of the good Jesus did included healing sickness. John 10:10 tells us that the devil is the one who oppresses us with sickness; God is the One who gives us abundant life! James 1:17 says that every good and every perfect gift comes from God above. This powerful truth, based on the revealed Word of God, can completely change your life if you embrace it and apply it to all your circumstances.

When God says, "I promise," He means it! Psalm 111:5 AMP says, He will remember His covenant forever and imprint it [on His mind]. Psalm 145:13 NIV reminds us that the Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. And Romans 4:20 NLT says that Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger.... He was absolutely convinced that God was able to do anything he promised.

Like Abraham, you can place your complete faith in God because He does not lie. God keeps His promises!

Plug Into the Source & Expectant Faith

I may not be the world's smartest person when it comes to machines and electricity, but if something isn't working, the first thing I do is see if the cord is plugged into the electrical power! I may have the most beautiful lamp in the world, but if I don't plug it into the power source, I will still be in darkness.

God is the source of all power, and we are His lamps, chosen to be His light in a darkened world. In Matthew 5:14-15 NLT Jesus said, "You are the light of the world-like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all...to see." According to the Bible, we are all witnesses of our Lord, every one of us!

Through the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us, every believer is enabled to give the light and life of Jesus Christ to those who walk in darkness. What a responsibility! What a privilege!

When a woman becomes pregnant, she says, “I am expecting.” Each time I was pregnant, I couldn’t see inside my body, but I knew that I was expecting a baby. I knew by my faith that God was creating something miraculous inside me, and soon I would have a baby. That’s expectant faith.

Faith for your needs works the same way. When you have a need, take it to God and say, “Father, this is what is broken in my life, and I believe You can fix it. I need Your healing touch on this situation, and I’m expecting a miracle.”

You may not see God’s answer to your prayer right away, just as I couldn’t see the baby growing inside me for nine months; but II Corinthians 5:7 tells us that we walk by faith, not by sight. Begin to say, “In Jesus’ Name, no matter what I see, no matter what I feel, no matter what’s staring me in the face, my God said, ‘The just shall live by faith,’ and by faith I’m receiving my miracle according to God’s Word!” That is having expectant faith!

During the nine months I was pregnant, I didn’t have a break. I was expecting the entire time. On good days, bad days, happy days, sad days. It didn’t matter, I was still expecting. Treat your faith like that. Stay in an attitude of expectancy. No matter what is happening around you, hold on to the Word of God and expect a miracle.

Conquering Intimidation

When I was younger, I had a lot of intimidation issues to overcome. I learned that the best way to conquer intimidation is to just press through those things that frighten you and do them by faith. That's what I did the first time I ever preached. I was only 16 years old and had just gotten saved. A businessman heard my testimony and asked me to speak at a rescue mission in downtown Detroit. But I was so fearful at the prospect of getting up in front of people! When I arrived at the mission, I was faced with 400 drug addicts and alcoholics who had to sit through the sermon in order to eat. They did not want to be there! I nearly panicked. I said, "God, what am I going to tell these people?" He said, "Tell them what you know." Since I had just gotten saved, there were only two things that I knew: I knew that God was a good God, and I knew that if you didn't serve Him, you were dumb. So for 45 minutes I preached a message called "God Is Good, and You Are Dumb" because I didn't know anything else! But the message got everyone's attention. When I was finished, I said, "If you want to receive this good God, come to the front and give your life to Jesus. If you want to be dumb and go to hell, sit down." Not one person sat down. All 400 came forward, weeping, and asked Jesus into their hearts. That's how my ministry started. Psalm 56:3 says, What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. When you trust God and take little steps of faith, even when you're afraid, you can conquer intimidation.

Lean on the Word

Tests and trials have a way of forcing us to choose what we are going to believe. When trouble rises up, we're either going to believe the Word of God or we're going to believe the circumstances.

James 1:2-3 in the Message translation says, You know that under pressure your faith life is forced into the open, and it will show its true colors. It's when you're under pressure that you find out what you really believe. Anybody can talk faith in church or with other Christians. But where it counts most is when you're all by yourself. You can tell where a person is spiritually just by listening to what comes out of their mouth, because under pressure you're either going to talk the Word or you're going to talk the problem.

The devil has a habit of trying to convince us that the Word isn't working, nobody cares, and it's over, or as we say in Texas, "Ship your saddle home." But that's a lie. If we could see into the spirit realm, we'd see angels busily working to get our needs met and causing things to come to pass.

In Galatians 6:9 the apostle Paul said that if we will not allow ourselves to grow weary, we will reap in due season. You never know when your due season is going to come. If you're standing fast on God's Word, you could have a due season today. If not today, it could be tomorrow. God doesn't keep time by hours, minutes, and seconds. He keeps time by "due season." And when you determine to lean on the Word and refuse to give up, God can see to it that your due season is manifested!

A Mother's Prayer Cover

As a teenager, I told my parents I was leaving home and going out on my own. Some young men might be ready to leave home at that age, but I was leaving with the spirit and attitude of a runaway. By leaving, I was declaring my intention to run my life according to my own desires instead of God's or my parents'.

Mama put her arms around me and kissed me. She wet my face with her tears. She said, "Oral, I'm putting a covering of prayer over you. Every night I'll be praying. You'll never get away from my prayers."

For five months Mama walked the floor of our little house and called out my name to the Lord. "God, bring him home at any cost," she prayed. The night I collapsed during a basketball tournament and fell unconscious, hemorrhaging from the mouth, my coach brought me home and laid me on my parents' bed. She looked at me and said, "Oral, I didn't know the price would be so great."

Even when the doctors told Mama that I had tuberculosis...even as I wasted away, coughing and bleeding. . . she kept a prayer cover over my life. She literally refused to quit praying. She prayed over me every day until I was saved...and then until I was healed...and then until I had fully recovered...and until I began to preach...and for my life and ministry until the day she died!

Mama believed in the power of prayer as much as the psalmist who wrote, I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer (Psalm 17:6 NIV). Are you holding on in prayer for a loved one? Keep raising that prayer cover every day-miracles come through holding-on prayers!

What was shared above really showed how much a mother's love for a child and the power in the prayer a parent can give to a child that bring forth blessings and anointing that changes a person's destiny. Today I also had another sermon shared during Mother's day svc at City Harvest Church by Rev Kong Hee! He shared on one of the Old Testament Mother called Hannah in 1 Sam chapter 1. It is about a godly centered mother who dedicated to God, where she will spend time in the house of God in prayer. She is also dedicated to her husand even though he have multiple wives, she continue to stay faithful and pray with him, as the more the couple pray together, the more they will stay together. Lastly she also dedicated herself to her children. She spend most of her times with young prophet Samuel and Samuel eventually grow up to be a mighty man of God. So today is Mother's day, I really encourage all mothers to be able to be like the above mention mother that really make a differences in their child's lives and also their spiritual walk with God and their husband will continue to grow stronger in deeper love. Hope my mum will be me in Church Svc soon!!! I will be praying for it. By next yr I wan by faith that my wole household will be change...

Drowning Out the Voice of Fear!!!

Often in life, we are stricken by the word "failure", or by negative impression in our life that we are not going to make it. Today when I was teaching the Pri 6 Sci class, I sense deadness in the class. I was wondering why the class was without joy. I felt the instant prompting from God to cheer them up though they may have their Mid-Year Exam this coming wk and they felt discouraged by all the mistake conducted in the practice paper in tuition class and felt discouraged that they might fail their tests and whatsoever. I felt the need to encouraged them so I tell them that they shld not worry abt the exam failure but the most importance things is to get sth out of tuition lesson that will be beneficial to their upcoming exam and study for PSLE. So those words of encouragement really come from the past experiences I had with God, so I said to them no matter what faith u had, juz believe there is always hope at the end of it. With that words of encouragement the class atm become less tense.

When those words penetrated my heart and mind, peace began to flood my spirit, and I knew we were going to be okay. The Bible tells us, God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come (Psalm 46:1-2 NLT). If your life is being shaken, steady yourself with the promises of God. Remember that He is your refuge and strength, no matter what is going on around you. The peace of God can flood your heart as you allow the Holy Spirit's voice to drown out the voices of fear and confusion. Because He is with you, you can handle anything that comes your way.
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

Your Best Days Are Ahead!

A word from the Lord for you today: Your best days are ahead of you! The book of Jeremiah tells how the children of Israel had sinned and were headed for seventy years of judgment in the land of Babylon. But God said to them, "I know the plans I have for you.... They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT). Even in the middle of a difficult time, God was telling His people that He still had a good plan for their lives and that their best days were ahead of them.

In these troubling times, many people expect the worst. Their minds are filled with fear. And fear is like a magnet. It attracts evil. But you can turn the spirit of fear into a spirit of faith-a positive expectation of good-and that's the essence of hope. If you're feeling anxious about the future, I encourage you to believe that God is with you and that He has something good ahead in your future. Believe I John 4:4 that says, Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Believe III John 2, which says, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

You may have gone through devastation and brokenness, but when you obey God's Word, you can claim God's promises. Begin to declare with your mouth, "The best days of my life are ahead! I'm not living in the past. I'm living in the present, and I'm expecting better days ahead!"

Broken-In Shoes & In Good Company

Have you ever gone into a shoe store wearing an old grubby pair of shoes? Your old shoes make the new shoes in the store look so good that you can't wait to buy a pair and wear them home. But after wearing the new shoes once or twice, you realize that they aren't as comfortable as you had thought. They still need to be broken in. The temptation comes to return to the old pair of shoes. Ugly as they are, they are still comfortable.

Like owners of new shoes who stubbornly persist on wearing their old worn-out sneakers, we cling to the familiar instead of allowing God to do a new thing in our lives. God may be trying to do a new thing in our lives, but if we keep returning to our old ways, we can't experience all of the good things He has in store for us.

God tells us in Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. When we insist on holding on to old patterns of doubt or sin, we hinder God's work in our lives. But when we follow God's ways and obey what He tells us to do, we open the way for Him to bring new blessings and positive change into our lives.

Think about it for a moment. What old shoes is God asking you to leave behind? Let go of the old ways that may be holding you back, as comfortable as they might be, and allow God's transforming power to change your life and set your feet on the path of a fresh new walk with Him.

If you have ever faced an impossible-looking situation, you're in good company. Hebrews chapter 11 gives us awesome stories of what faith can do in the midst of adversity and seemingly impossible situations. These believers went through horrific battles, but they came out on top. The Message translation says, Through acts of faith, they toppled kingdoms, made justice work, took the promises for themselves. They...refused to give in (vv. 33-35).

When we determine that we're not going to give in to satan's tactics or pressures and we're not going to give up just because we don't see any tangible evidence that our faith is working, then we can win our battles. We have to make up our minds that we are not going to worry about how things appear, for we walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7). By faith, we know that God is working behind the scenes.

There have been times of testing when I've told the devil, "Satan, if it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you're going to get. But when this thing is over and the dust settles, God and I will still be standing, and the victory will be ours!"

This is a war that can be won. But we have to stay on guard. We have to keep a firm grip on our faith and refuse to quit. We don't ever want to jump to the conclusion that God is not on the job when it looks as though nothing is happening. Keep trusting Him, because this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (I John 5:4).

After 3rd Wk of SOT

Finished the 3rd week of SOT. It has been a fulfilling time. We finished the tabernacle series and also learnt alot of ministering power during the foundation truths 2. I was also in the SOT Chior. It was awesome to stand on the stage to be singing to the Lord. The feeling was totally different from singing at the floor. Now I understand why choir is so anointed ministry and it is the one who carry and brings down the presence of God. So this wk, I was almost everyday on the stage singing and I felt great. This wk was also jam packed with activity, as I have new tuition and new activity to catch up and complete. Next wk is more worst. Labour's day is filled with 4 activities lei. So Packed lor. I'm so excited as I will be gg for Mission Trips for experiences from God. Hope I can grow more in the Lord. This Yr SOT and 2008 is an experiential r/s with God.

2nd Week of SOT

This week have been a very challenging week for me. On Monday, I rmb after the class I need to rush down to teach my lesson at 230pm. It was really very bad when I reach there, as I reach at 245pm and I have to teach all the way till 430 to cover the make up time. Next on Tuesday, it was slightly better. But on Wednesday, I was late 5min, yet the management make a big hoo haa and say I reach at 430pm which is 15 min late. It was really unfair for me. I felt I was being pinpoint, however I move on. On Thursday, I was late 5min too and reach at 405pm and it seems that the atm of the work is getting tenser and tenser. I felt bad and like wat to quit. On Friday, It is better, I reach early and it seems oki. Sat back to work was a tiring moment as I have been rushing in and out of work and also attending SOT classes, CG, and svc. Today I also have a fully packed activities like tuition to cover all the make up lesson I've missed last few weeks. I really leaning on God and it is no longer me who lived. I felt so discouraged this wk but in the end God still turn it ard for me thru the word share by Dr Kim, a pastor from Korea, who is the co-founder of the world largest church, Yoido Full Gospel Church. She share abt the journey with God is full of ups and downs, but the end of it is really the reward God has prepare for u to grow. So really blessed by the Word and given me the strength to end the race. SO continue in prayer for the mighty move of God.

This week is really an emotional drive for me as I struggle not juz in work but also my personal life. I heard from one of my friends who told me that S1 said I was emotionless and ppl dun wan to be near me becuz of that. It was really sad to hear this comment. I have always been trying to make ppl happy ard me though I felt discourage at times. But this comment really hit me bad as I had sometimes struggle to get over it. Still rmb this wk one of the ministering session, I was being prayed for this situation and it really came to pass. Really I was discourage but I rmb the prayer that was prayed over me when that particular bro prayed for me for words of encouragement for men may hurts but it is after all we shld press for God's encourgement... So in the end, I decided to pick myself up and carried on the journey as what Dr Kim shared with us.

Wonderful testimony and sharing!!!

This wk have been sharing of testimony upon testimony!!! As I have mention to my SOT classmates that now my tuition lessons is no more juz normal class but also a time of sharing with my students abt my faith. Since water baptism, some of my classes have been asking me abt Christianity and what is it all abt. As I begin to share, I felt the grace of God thru me as I tell the class my experience and how I felt, even though my Christian walk with God is not totally smooth yet His presence is always there for me.

I share with my Sec 1 & 2 maths classes, it was a wonderful exchange of pointers. Den this sharing also not juz for the yet to be believers but also with my CG members when they heard my stories, they felt encourage too!!!

I think God is really looking into the hearts of those who is seeking Him, the more u seek, the more His presence is poured out into our lives. In the Bible, the words says in Mt 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." This word is really living out of me. There is alot of times where I really dun feel the presence of God and on the verge of giving up. Understand that I have been Christian for 10 years, I still have my downturn at times. But the most miraculous thing is that everytime I felt that, God will always provide a solution and turn my life ard towards Him. It is like a shepherd leading those stray lamb back to the herd. God will nva leave u alone, when you are out of track, He will always lead you back to track. That is the most amazing thing. For me, it is undeniable to say that God is not there. U may feel He is not there is becuz u let the circumstances take control, but when you lift up urself to another level, I can guarantee u that the presence of God is always there, you juz need to seek it and you will find it. So nva lose hope but always have hope in God, for He nva fails, though we (human) fails lots of times.

I always feel that every Christian have their own life's story to tell, and their story will always be an impact to others and u nva know that it can be an influence. Have you ever had a problem that seemed so impossible you couldn't think about anything else? That's our human tendency, but God has a better plan. He wants us to glance at the problem, then quickly focus on His promises. That's what Abraham did when God told him that he and Sarah were to have a son. Romans 4:18 says that Abraham against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

This verse speaks of both the problem and the promise. It speaks of hope in the middle of a situation that looked hopeless. Even though Abraham was 100 years old and his wife was 90, Abraham had hope and faith that they would have a son as God promised.

There are two impossibilities here. First, it is humanly impossible for a man and a woman of Abraham and Sarah's ages to have a baby; second, it is impossible for God to lie (Titus 1:2). So against human hope, Abraham believed in divine hope...that God would bring about a miracle. He did not deny the problem existed-he just refused to focus on it. He glanced at the problem, then immediately focused on the promise God had made to him. And because Abraham had the faith to focus on the promise, God was able to perform the miracle.

Faith is rooted in the promises of God, and without a promise to stand on, it is literally impossible to have faith. So if you have a problem that seems hopeless, admit that your problem exists. Then immediately take your eyes off your problem and focus your faith on what God's Word says. You can believe it because the Bible says He cannot lie.

To conclude: Faith is really the substance that propel you to stand in God even though the circumstances, cuz in the end, the reward you receive after you overcome the trials and tribulations is so much better that what you go thru. Always share your testimony!!! In the midst of all the trouble and difficulties nva forget to pray, cuz prayer lifted u up and gives you the supernatural strengths. You can simply start with a small prayer, as you learnt to depend more on God, you will be able to pray longer. Tt is how simple to build your prayer life, cuz it is not instantaneously. Always start from small and it will end up Big.

Emerges Victoriously!!!

Today is yet another great SOT lesson, so far it is the fourth day of sch and we had ministering almost everyday from tue till today. Tue n Wed was with Pst Derek, today was with Pst Ming. The ministering was awesome and alot of students really experienced a real move of God. From Holy laughter to crying to deliverance from bondage, struggles and more. Everyone had their personal encounter with God and experience a powerful move of God in their lives as they are being transform during this SOT period. Most of us went to struggle to get into SOT so it is not easy for some of us and it is really a testing of our faith and strengthening and equipping us for the kingdom of God. This few days of lessons and ministering really bring me to another level of knowing God more and desire for Him and yearning and yielding to Him.

This course was truly a point of references in my life as a living testimony. For those who knows me well, you all shld know the struggle I went b4 entering into SOT. Entering into SOT was a dream for me years back. I've been thru parental objection for everything related to Christianity, how I struggle thru and overcome it. I have made my commitment dated back to my secondary years to be on fire for God, now it is fulfilling. After Secondary, I wasn't able to fulfill n proceed to JC, the feeling kinda lost along the way as I was totally being stop from gg to church by my parent. But God is faithful, He kept me close to Him with the bible and holy spirit. Den I enter NS, when I promise God again that I wan to be commit back to Him. So becuz of this promise, God open ways for me and I went back to Church with no difficulties. Praise God for that!!! Den I started to be stronger. After NS, I started working. At first I enter into the wrong job and it rob away my time for God... I become very sad as my desire is really for Him, so after much struggles, I stood up and quit that job and put my trust in God and change job. It was a tough decision and this happen last yr where I job hop a few times before decided to go into teaching line which I always good at. So God does His miracles in my life so much that I can't denies His presence in my life.

Still rmb how I decided to sign for SOT this yr. Actually I've promise God to sign up for SOT this yr no matter wat had happen during last yr after my transition from job hopping. So this yr one of the svc where Pst Tan start to challenges us to go for SOT. I was like praying to God maybe next yr den I go as I now working full time in a tuition center and wun have time for it. But God instantly reply tt I shld go "NOW". Den I was dishearten as I finally get myself stable in a job, but God reminded me of the promise I made to Him, tt gives me the conviction to trust in Him and sign for SOT. God remind me tt if I were to not go this yr, it will be harder next yr and the yrs to come as there is always no convenience time. So I really step out by faith and trust in Him. So I went thru the struggle in breaking the news to my boss and God's favour really poured over my life and my boss gives the green light. SO I was truly grateful in God's word and obedience to His word. Den I was even challenges to ask one of the CG members to go to and she also went thru the same struggle as me, but she emerges victoriously. So I really thanks God for the open doorways in our lives. It is really when u rely on His strength, He can make all things possible. Glorifies God for tt!!!

So at the end of this course, I really want to see myself rising to a position that will make a differences and impact in my life and also the people ard me and be a great blessings. I wish I can also learned as much as I can during this five months course and wish my spiritual fruits can be birth forth and mature and be renewed and transform at the end of the days able to stand for my faith and also to share it ard with others. SOT, here I am, really for the mighty move of God and a strong anointing to be poured into my life and the people who avails themselves for SOT.

Standing Strong in Faith

I am fortunate that I was raised in a family of faith-one that taught me from my earliest years that faith in God determined what I could have in life. Many people do not have that foundation of faith. They mistakenly believe that what happens to them is determined by fate, friends, or fortune. But Matthew 9:29 says, According to your faith be it unto you. No matter how strong you may be physically, if you're not strong in faith there is a weakness in your life that can block the blessings God wants you to have.

Believing God is essential if you are to receive His best. Hebrews 11:6 says, Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Believing and standing in faith pleases God and puts you in a position to get your prayers answered.

Matthew 14 tells how Peter walked on the water at Jesus' command. As long as he kept his eyes on Jesus, he was fine, but when he looked down he began to sink. When he cried out to Jesus to save him, Jesus reached out and caught him, saying, O thou of little faith (v. 31). The important thing to note is that although Peter's faith was small, Jesus honored his act of faith.

Just as the dollar bill is the medium of exchange for goods and services in a capitalistic society, so faith is the medium of exchange in spiritual matters. Simply put: Pray and believe, and you can receive. Pray and doubt, and you can do without. So even when you feel that your faith is weak, stand strong by choosing to pray, believe, and receive!

Give Your Best to God

All of my life I've heard my father tell this story about my granddad who was a preacher in Oklahoma in the early 1900's. Sometimes the church members didn't have money for the offering, so they would give an offering of food. One day a chicken rancher brought my grandfather a live chicken as an offering. When he left, my grandparents noticed that the chicken had only one eye. A little while later the rancher came back and said, "As I drove away, God spoke to my heart and said I shouldn't have given Him my worst chicken. I should give God my best." He took back the one-eyed chicken and gave my grandfather his best chicken instead.

We see the same principle illustrated in the Bible when King David sinned by disobeying God and conducting a census. To stop the plague that God sent as punishment, he was told to buy the threshing floor of Ornan to build an altar unto God. Ornan said, Take it to yourself...I give it all. But David replied, No, but I will surely buy it for the full price, for I will not take what is yours for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings with that which costs me nothing (I Chronicles 21:23-24 NKJV). David wouldn't borrow or take a handout to give God his tithe and offering. He was saying, "No, it's got to come from me." It had to cost him something.

We can ask ourselves, are we giving God our "one-eyed chickens"-our leftovers? What He wants is that which represents our best. And in return, He can give back to us His best!

SOT Started!!!

I am go happy!!! Finally a SOT student in CHBTC!!! Dreams finally come true. Ytd had a wonderful orientation with my team.

Ytd, Ailin,Natalia and me meet at 630am to head to Jurong West Church to gather for our SOT orientation day. We were all so excited for it. Upon reaching the Church, we were discussing whether we will be in the same team anot. Reach the Church at ard 730am, we look for our card and wait to be registered at 8am. When the clock strike, we quickly take our card and started to take picture and get ready for the briefing. We also found out to be in the same team!!! Praise God. At 9am, we gathering for a briefing and also for a good morning short Praise and Worship. After the P&W, we were asked to gather in our team and get to know each other and build the bond. Abt 10mins later after gathering, we started off the First Game which is to buy 20 items below $10. With the quick-witted mind, I was thinking of all the possible free items instead of buying the items. So we manage to the the items and went back to Church to start off the game for the rest of the days.

We had a wonderful time starting from Jurong West Church Premise. First stop to Chinese Garden. Over there we played "Scissors Paper Stone". Though we lost, we are forfeited to use gel to put on our hair. I had all on my hair to finish off fast. Next stop to Riverwalk. Play Snakes & Ladders. We finish very fast and win. However to identify the pit stop for Riverwalk was taking abit of time as we are unsure where to find the game masters. Next stop we head to Kembangan and play human carriers. We won again den head to Paya Lebar. We walk ard the old church premise [Hollywood Threatre] den had a bowl of ice kachang. Den we head to Expo. Play captain ball. Den we lost. To everyone's disappointment, I said goodbye to them as I need to head to work. How I wish I can follow them to the last checkpoint and end the dinner with them. But due to work commitment den no choice. Yet I really glad with my team mates. Three cheer for them. Hip Hip Hurray (x3)!!! We really had a great bonding session together.

Today is our first lesson for local students. In the morning, we had a wonderful session with Pst Derek and ministering. I was great and fantastic. Follow that, we have a break and start with Foundation Truths II(FT2) Lesson 1 & 3. After the lesson, I have to rush down to workplace and start work. Today seems a great day. I'm looking forward for more in times to come.

Faith To Try Again!!!

I believe God places His dreams in our hearts, and He wants to help us fulfill them. Do you have a dream in your heart that has almost died because something happened that devastated you? No matter what has happened in your past, don’t lose hope. God can give you faith to try again!

Maybe you feel that you’ve failed. I know how that feels because I have experienced failure. But God specializes in mending broken dreams, healing wounded hearts, and making something beautiful out of our lives. Maybe you have a history of making bad decisions and you think God could never forgive you. I believe with all of my heart--and I speak with the confidence of knowing God’s Word--that there is nothing you could have done that God cannot and will not forgive. You simply have to ask Him. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (I John 1:9).

However, God cannot forgive you if you don’t ask Him. God has done His part by making forgiveness available to you through Jesus Christ. Now you have to do your part and reach out to receive that forgiveness. You may want to pour your heart out to Him or simply pray a few words from your heart. I know one young man who, after years of pain, came with tears streaming down his face. He just said, “Jesus . . . okay!” With those two words, his life was miraculously transformed as Jesus came into his heart. Now he is preaching the Gospel and winning souls to the Lord.

That doesn’t mean that God is going to call you into the ministry when you turn your life over to Him. But it does mean that He has something for you to do that is just right for you. God wants to give you the desires of your heart and help you fulfill your dreams. Put your trust in Him today.

A New Man!!!

It have been a week since I last updates about myself on Blog. So many things happen this wk. It is sad and yet in the end God turn my life ard with a great blessing in the end. After a great Easter Celebration with my frens and CG members. I was awaiting for my calling to go for water baptism on 30 Mar. I was getting ready buying new clothes and pants for these occasion and also celebrate my Father's Birthday which happen to be on Easter Sunday. All was gg on well, nth to expect a bad thing befall my family. On Mon, when I was back at work, all was great with the blessing of God overwhelm me, the days continue well till Tuesday.

A tragedy happen, My grandpa passed away on Tuesday night when I reached home from work. It was saddening but I was at that point emotionless. No idea wat to do next. The first thing next was to quickly inform my ESSS & Tuition Center abt the situation tt I can't go to work. But to my next surprise was that the tuition center can't approve my leave totally as there is shortage of teachers, so in the end I still need to go to work, it is a source of relaxing myself in these tense situation. So the funeral preparation go on from Tuesday night all the way to Saturday where the cremation took place. I have been trying to hide my tears for the first few days but on the last days I juz cry buckets of water. The funeral was all well till we were back at my grandpa's house where my father kinda quarrel with my uncle over some money matter, so it made an awkward situation after tt.

Well, it is time to move on as usual. So I had a good rest on Saturday night. Was struggling whether to go for Water Baptism after the funeral was a tough decision to make. But in the end, as my desire for God is so strong, I decided to go for it amidst all the depression. So Ytd I went for my water baptism. It was a great experience. I was so hype up and excited that I was like a child receive a prize for no apparent reason, the joy of the Lord is really my strength at that point of time. I still remember when I step into the pool, I was like can't wait for the pastor's hand to be laid on me. When the Pst said: "Jonathan Teo, I baptise you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!" and then immerse me into the water, I really feel the peace of God overwhelm me. It was a wonderful experience once in a lifetime. I really encourage those who wan it shld go for it asap as it is an experience u wun wan to miss. After the baptism, I went for svc. I really feel the difference in me as I was like the very first time I was back in church, jumping and praising God with supernatural strength, singing out loud and really enjoying the presence of God. I will say that God's calling in my life was really fulfilled with my obedience in His word. Praise God & Amen!!!

You Can Be Happy

As Christians, each one of us has a unique calling from God on our lives. Yours is different from mine, and mine is different from yours. Your calling is the one God has for you, and it's what you're supposed to do in life. His plan may be different from what you expect, but you can be assured it is something good. In Jeremiah 29:11 NIV the Lord declares, "I know the plans I have for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Before I married Oral, I wanted to be a missionary. But God never would call me! You see, He had a different plan in mind for me. When Oral proposed to me, I knew that God had planned and ordained for me to marry him.

The important thing is for us to be pliable in God's hands. After I married Oral, I said to the Lord, "You know that I've always wanted to be a missionary. You never called me, and I guess You won't call me now. So I'll just have to be content to be a minister's wife."

Of course, I didn't know then all that God intended to accomplish through Oral and me-that we were going to go into all the world and preach the Gospel everywhere we went. I didn't know that we would raise up Oral Roberts University with its thousands of young students who would take God's message beyond us to the world.

I'm so glad I decided to submit to the plan God had for me. Although it was different from my own, I learned that you can be happy and satisfied wherever God plants you because you're in the center of His will.

A Thousand Meals

There's an amazing story in the Bible that shows God can supply our natural needs in supernatural ways. In I Kings 17 NIV, the prophet Elijah meets a widow who has almost run out of food. He asks her for some bread to eat. "As surely as the Lord your God lives," she replied, "I don't have any bread-only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it-and die" (v. 12).

When Elijah asked the widow for the first portion of her food, he was really asking for the tithe-the first tenth. The word "tithe" actually translates as increase. That doesn't make sense in the natural, does it? How can you give away 10 percent of your income and call it increase? That's just how it works. When the tenth is given to God, He supernaturally increases it.

The widow believed the word of the Lord, and she gave the first portion of her last meal to His prophet. Because of her obedience, her family lived in God's supernatural supply for nearly a thousand more meals!

Like the widow, when we step out in faith and obey God's Word, He proves how He can supply our natural needs...often in supernatural ways. Consider Malachi 3:10, which says:Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse...and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

An 'If-Then' God

I believe God is an "if-then" God. If we do our part, then God does His part. When Jesus died on the Cross to save us, He said, It is finished (John 19:30). There was nothing else that needed to be done-on His part. However, God doesn't just stretch out His hand and say, "Poof! Now you're saved." Salvation comes by faith. If we repent of our sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, then we receive His salvation.

Also, in II Chronicles 7:14 God says, If my people...shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Clearly, we have a part to play in whether or not we receive the blessings of God.

"Is this some magic formula?" you ask. "If I do this, then I can make God do that?" No. I'm talking about God's Word. According to Jeremiah 1:12 NASB, God watches over His Word to perform it. When we do what the Bible says, God is reminded of His promise to watch over His Word and perform it in our lives.

When I pray, I love to remind God of what He said in His Word. I may say, "God, do You remember that You said if I'd bring my tithes into the storehouse, You would open the windows of heaven and pour me out a blessing so great there would not be room enough to receive it?" I can just imagine God smiling and saying, "Yes, I remember. And I keep My promises." We often find our windows of blessing shut because we don't do what the Bible says. But God says if we obey His commands and believe His promises, then He will fulfill His Word.

Who Is This One?

Who is this One who arose on Easter morning?

He is the One who came from heaven to be born in Bethlehem and was laid in a manger. He is the One who was hidden in Egypt, raised in Nazareth, and baptized in the Jordan River.

He is the One who overcame the temptations of the devil in the wilderness. He is the One who turned water into wine, calmed the sea, healed the multitudes, delivered the people, preached the Good News, multiplied a few fish and loaves of bread to feed the masses, and raised the dead.

He is the One who took on our sins and nailed them to a rugged cross. He is the One who bowed His head and died at Calvary. He is the One whose death caused the veil of the temple to be rent in two. He is the One who was buried in a borrowed tomb, because He only planned to use it for three days.

He is the One who on the third day-on Resurrection morning-came bursting forth from His graveclothes and stood outside the borrowed tomb in shining garments, alive forevermore! He is the One who declares to you today, "Because I live, you will live also" (John 14:19 NKJV).

Who is this One? He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the only begotten Son of the almighty, everliving God, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord! Under the new covenant in Christ, we're in the preferred position of being joint-heirs with Him. This gives us:

The covenant right to complete deliverance: I thirst (John 19:28). The excruciating pain Christ suffered defies our imagination. He suffered so that we might be made whole: He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Each one of us knows suffering; each one of us needs healing in some area of our lives. Because Jesus bore our sufferings on the Cross, there is now covenant healing for our whole person.

The covenant right to victory, even in the face of death: It is finished (John 19:30). When Jesus Christ was lifted up on the Cross, suspended between earth and heaven, He reached up with the right hand of His divine nature and took hold of an offended God. With the left hand of His humanity He reached down and took hold of offending sinners, and with the last strength He had, He pulled God down and man up and reconciled them. Then He said, It is finished. There is victory in the Cross, and our reconciliation with God is the beginning of that victory.

The covenant right of everlasting life with God: Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit (Luke 23:46). There is immortality in the Cross. There's life for us in the Cross...in this world and beyond. Through Christ's death on the Cross, we can have eternal life.

When you repent...believe...and call upon Jesus to be your Savior, all the new covenant rights are yours!

School Started!!! For Work & Joy!!!

Finally the March holiday is over, school has started and I'm back in ESSS again. Wondering wat had happen over the holiday. Reflecting back at it, my parent went for an overseas trip to China, the whole house only left the three oldest siblings which is myself and my two eldest youngest sister. When parents are away, we are literally exploring all possibilities of rebellion but yet most of us turned out to be super guai and go home daily except for a few occasion where me and my second sister din go home and stay over our frens' house. But this holiday wasn't much a holiday for me as I was still busy working at the tuition centre as lesson is still as per normal. It is quite tiring to see everyone relaxing while I still working but at least I have a moment of rest from nagging and breeze thru the holiday with work and play. I notice I went to gym more during this wk as more free time to gym. I also went for a jazz class and my usual step classes. It is really interesting in attending the classes. The jazz teacher commented that I was quite a fast learner as I was new to those dance steps. I was so thrilled. I also mange to gain enough rest during these holiday as I can slp all the way to 12pm b4 waking up for work.

Lets talk abt wat my parents bought during their trips when they were back on sat night. To my surprise, they bought a lot of branded sports wear at super cheap prices and I have my fair share of some of the collections. My mum also get me a Nike formal shirt and 2 belts. The following picture is wat I got.

Praise Report: Rmb a few wks back, I was asking for your prayer for me to go for SOT!!! It is finally prayer answer as my tuition centre boss gave the "ok" permission for me to go for the course without any pay cut. Really thank God for tt!!! Amen & Amen!!!

Now I can't wait for SOT to start at Apr 7, water baptism on Mar 30 and also this coming Friday Easter celebration. Hoping for a mighty move of God. This coming Easter our church have a total of 12 English svc with 8 other services.

The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 CUPS OF COFFEE

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
Front of him. When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
Jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full.
The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee
From under the table And poured the entire contents
Into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.
The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
"I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health,
friends, and favorite passions -- things that if everything else was
Lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.
The sand is everything else --the small stuff.
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued,
"there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are
Important to you.
So...
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
"Take care of the golf balls first --the things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand"

One of the students raised her hand and inquired
What the coffee represented.
The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked".
It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

The Goal of Missions is Worship.

If you don't treasure Christ, you won't be compelled to encourage others to treasure him. Where zeal for Christ is lacking, passion for missions will be lukewarm. Not only is worship the goal of missions, but it is also the fuel of missions. Worship begets missions, and missions begets worship.

Jesus instructs us to spread his name to all peoples (Matthew 28:16-20), but we'll do so only once we come to the same point as the Apostle Paul, who exclaims, "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ" (Philippians 3:8).

When, like Paul, we treasure Christ above all else, then we will be passionate about missions. But once Christ returns, evangelism will no longer be necessary because he will bring to himself and be worshiped by all those who have been made righteous in Christ. In the meantime, evangelism exists because there are still people called by Christ who are not worshipers of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Wisdom is to do now what you will be satisfied with later.

From a practical standpoint, wisdom is to do now what you will be satisfied with later.
This means that if you know doing something will be very beneficial later, then you do it now even if you don't want to. The opposite is also true: a person who lacks wisdom will base his or her actions on what feels good right now instead of looking at the long-term picture.
For example, say you want to eat a snack, but you aren't hungry. You might say to yourself, "Well I know I shouldn't eat this, but ... ." And then you decide to keep eating even though you are full. Your actions followed your feelings instead of wisdom, and it's a decision that may lead to results you're not happy with later.
Clearly, wisdom requires using self-control to choose to do what is better. A wise person looks at the end results instead of focusing only on his or her immediate circumstances. In short, wisdom is to do now what you will be satisfied with later.

Don't just trust God for things; trust Him in things.
Too often, we fall into the trap of trusting God to give us more things—a new car, a bigger house, a better computer. We turn God into little more than a supernatural Santa Claus, who gives us what we want.
Although God does want his people to prosper and be blessed, it is much more important to him that you entrust him with your life.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Trusting God is simply having faith in him—that he is who he says he is. In tough circumstances, trusting God means believing his promises, that he will work all things out for good. Trusting God does not mean trusting that he'll send Santa to give you what you want.
Especially during difficult times, putting your faith and trust in God brings rewards. Isaiah 26:3 says, You [God] will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Perfect peace is available if you're willing to trust God in the midst of challenging times.

Therefore, make it your aim to live with eternal purpose and invest in eternal things; to spend all you have on what lasts forever.

Registering for SOT 08

After much consideration and decision, I have decided to sign up for SOT 08. It has always be my dream and passion to enrol into SOT and now I am here to take up the course and challenge. It will be a 5mth course starting from Apr 7 to Aug 28. In doing so, I was also hoping for a open favour from my tuition center to allow me to go for the course and yet at the same time still able to work there. So I need all necessary prayer and support from my CG and also frens to pray for me for the things that is to come... I really wish to be able to rise up for these special occasion and for a mighty move of God in my life this year...

The need to control!!!

This wk is a wk of tiredness and anger at times... So many things happen, this morning my mum get abit naggy as she is gg for a holiday soon and busy preparing and getting paranoid over this and that. She started to blame me for not taking care of myself where I was like thinking "WHAT?" Next is that this wk in ESSS the student are getting abit overboard after a mth with them. They start to climb over my head and but good in a sense that I manage to control them back with talking them out rather den those typical punishment... In tuition center, some students also start to get abit more and more chatty, and I start to get abit more agitated...

Somehow or another, I am easily trigger this wk... Lord, I prayed for more patience and tolerance with the students and also in my life...

I also hoped to be more rooted in the Word of God and also get water baptised this year. Aim for the year. I also wish to be able to spend more time with my frens and family. Miss the time of fellowships.

Getting less and less enthusiatic on PE lesson with the 3T1, it is like teaching a group of pri 3 kids. Why can't they listen to instructions? At least the 1T1, 2T1 & 4T1 behave more den them la. Though they may be problematic at times but at least they know how to respect teachers and listen to instructions but the 3T1 guys especially the malays are all defiant butch of ppl... Can't really stand them... Some of my fav classes though they may not be good batch of students but at least they have the least attitude of respect to teachers. How I wish I can brainwash all their minds and input the right values in them. Teachers are not easy task but I think God have His ways in us, to put us out there to test and modify us so that we can be an example and role model to these students and hopefully we can change them.

Two months of relief teaching is coming to an end and I felt the sense of attachment and belonging to the school. Though I may not approve some of the attitudes the students portray, but I can only pray I can change them one at a time and in times to come all of them for a better person.

A good lesson on RISE Lesson at ESSS

Was doing some reflection on my lesson conducted in ESSS. I have been taking the 2T1 as my form class and been teaching them some moral education every Mon. I have taken over the class for 2mth already and conducted several class with my own resources... I was given praise report by the principal when she happened to pass by my class and also listen to my lesson. I was shocked to hear tt but felt good as it was an effort appreciated.

Last week I taught the class about teamwork. This is what I have prepared:

Why is teamwork important?
Teamwork is important because we need to work with others in many situations in life. Teamwork is often required so as to tap one another's strengths and to achieve greater success.
For example, In a class, in order for everyone to pay attention to the teacher's instruction, we need the cooperation of every students to be able to remain silent so that the teacher's instruction can be passed down smoothly.
There are some students who are responsible for the class try to help keep the class quiet but yet other students choose not to cooperate.

Effective teamwork involves:

Adopting positive attitudes in various situations such as:
Working Collaboratively and valuing every contributions,
Understanding and sharing team goals. (Class Motto: All for one, one for all)
Putting interests of the team above self-interest. (Do not be selfish)
Having a sense of satisfaction in the team's success.
Having the right values.
Showing respect for others (If u wan other to respect u, u got to first respect others).
Practising personal and mutual responsibility. ( when you are responsible, people will respect ur decision.
Being innovative and open-minded; (when u are willing to be creative in making things work, you are able to make a difference).
Caring for one another.

An individual is successful because of the support given by the rest of the team. Therefore, the individual's success is the team's success. ( if the naughty students behave themselves, will not the class be praise for the good behaviour?)

I really think that teamwork is essential in all things that we do. No matter what situations we are in, it is often teamwork that lead us to the next level. The power of unity is the power to success. Only when everyone is heading towards a single direction (focus), it is where ultimate power and potential is release to the maximum. So rmb "no man is an island!", we need each other to grow and progress no matter what. SO Work together not individually, but use ur unique individual with other's strength to release the maximum potential in everyone.

Word for the Week!!!

Jer 29:11-14a
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD

This verse is very familiar as Gabriel once share with us how God had leads him from a point of darkness into a transition period where he found God once again and be ready and prepared to be reshaped and remoulded again to testify of God's goodness... But for my case, I will take u on the other expect looking at this verse on the other point of view.

God knows everything in His mind and hand, He had everything prepares for you and all the good things ready to bless you. But there is one condition. It is "then you will call upon Me(God) and come to Him. Pray to Him then God will listen."

There is 3 basic steps here.

First is to CALL upon Him. God wants us to be vocal and able to communicate with Him. Not juz thinking abt it to happen but to confess His promise in our lives.
Next is to COME to Him. Why is it impt for us to come before God. The ans is simply when we come to God, we are telling God that we surrender ourselves and be willing to submit to His sovereignty over our lives and that we know that by trusting in Him, He will nva shortchange us.
Last is to PRAY to Him. Why? Cuz Prayer is an impt part in our daily lives, That is why Pst always encourages us to pray, when we pray, we are tapping into the spiritual aspect of our lives, intuning ourselves to God's will and allow the Holy Spirit to pour out visions and dreams.

So when u fulfill this three things, den God will ans ur prayer and come to u. SO Lets us all be ready and prepared for the Mighty Move of God.

Today was a good day to begin with. Dun know why I was just feeling very good for the day and I feel at ease... Start the day with a bad quarrel between my dad and mum when I woke up this morning... It is about money issue again. My third sis bank account is running low and my mum was complaining her when she in the end found out tt my father have been borrowng money from her. Den knowing the truth, my mum confronted my father and they started quarrelling... As I was in a rush to sch this morning, so I only manage to see the commotion and did nth much and went to school.

In school, everything so far was smooth... I was initially quite stress up as I was gg to teach rise lesson to my form class alone with supervision from superior. It was quite scary, yet however, everything in class went smoothly... I was able to deliver the points clearly with good illustration and the superior at the end of the lesson praise me for the good effort made and say my illustration and example was good and clear cut... Thanks God for the anointing!!! Today rise lesson is about teamwork, so I happened to share my experience and also wat I have learnt in church and apply them in the class. So the sharing is good and the class also manage to behave themselves for the second time as I conducted the lesson. Hope my lesson benefited them in their future and that they know wat to apply on what they have learnt from me today...

Was being ask to blog and update my blog... I have been busy lately with CNY visitation and school work to the point that I din blog for a long time. I am sad that I can't blog and have been trying to find opportunity to do so. Finally here I am, blogging and updating my blog.

So far this yr have been a interesting yr especially in my spiritual aspect of my life. Was listening to some of my Cell Grp Members telling me how they faced life challenges and also being able to encourage them thru my testimonies was really a great privillege. But one things sadden me the most is that, ppl always qns the problem when there is no problem to the "problem". For example, non-christian always asked "Why do christian have to tithe and give offering?" But the reason is simply as why do buddist or taoist give money to their temples. The basic line behind tt is because we love the house of God , that is why we want to contribute to the building of God's House. It is often said, You cannot love without giving! It is always a challenge to stay in Christian Faith, but it is always sth that build us Christian as who we are in God's eyes. Cuz it is not the understanding of mere men tt complains about us or see us but it is really how God sees thru the heart of men. Wat we do, got to be a reflection from the bottom of our heart and not hypocritical. Juz like when we forgive s1, we also need to show it thru action and not juz simply saying it. It got to be geniune. IT is important we have confidence in ourselves and progress for the better. We need to apply what we learnt in order to bring out the success of what we learned.

Everyone knows that the mind is the command center of the body but how many of u know that without the heart pumping, the mind is almost dead. So what does it mean to keep ur heart alive? It is to really keeping your emotion sound and not shut down. We got to have heart in everything we do. It is important to stay connect with the people ard us. A sentence that uses the starting letter of the word HEART: Having Everyone All Reaching Together. It is like teamwork, you need every coordination to be able to function properly. So it is impt we treat everyone with respect and work together. "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm" Winston Churchill. Looking at these quotes really spur me on daily... It have been a month since I started work full time as a teacher from morning to night, mon to sat... I like to encourage the students who happen to pass by my blog, that most of u all have make my day. Seeing u all change and become better, really is a sense of achievement for me... Some of u, I really see the potential in u as u change to become better. Rmb Changes is inevitable in life for a person to progress on and improve. Hope u all can really understand y teachers always ask u all to change to become better. Life in a way is not always wat u wan in life, sometimes it is really how u deal with the circumstances in life that change and mould u as who u will become. With positive attitudes, u will move far but the opposite also holds true.

Some of the students whom I have negative impact of them before all started to change better as I get to know them more, and I find tt it is a good challenge for me to know u all better and change u all into better person... There are also some whom I can't really do much, I can only pray tt it will come to pass, one day they will understand what is their purpose in life... With a purpose and plan in life, a person can't venture far... SO always know wat u wan and make sure it is the right decision and dun regret...

For East Spring Sec, so far PE lesson was good with a few mishaps in some classes which I really can't take it at times, but now so far all is good and fine. I like most of my PE classes. CPA lesson is getting interesting as I also learn as I am with them as some of the things I actually also dun know much though I was assisting the teacher teaching... SO fun in CPA lesson and I really see the other side of the N(T) students... They are after all not tt hard to teach... Hope I can make a differences in their lives... I really wan to see them become better person in the society... 1T1 & 2T1 jia you... Hope my stay with u all will be a benefit... SO is the PE classes...

At A&A education center, I like my stay especially in Blk 750 where the student care is... So far everytime I reach the center, I will be greeted by the kids in the student care "Good morning cher, later got lesson?" It was really a heart warmth to see them after a hard day work at ESSS. Den I will prepare my lesson and the children there is really sweet seeing them and teaching them... Like to comment especially on Rigel whom I really treated like my younger bro... He is the one who always brighten my days after my work from ESSS. Next person who struck me the most is this P5 gal who is always consistence in her work called ShuYi. She is good and always eager to learn. Next is the Bro n sis of the Lum Family, P5 boy who always make noise in class but yet he is the one who is often being bully in the class of gals... His sis JT also very similiar like him but very consistence in her work but too hyper for a gal to behave like this. Not forgeting my fav class of S2 Maths with the grps of 4gals n 3 boys. But the gals are the one who really do the works and also dickson one of the boys in the class. Hope u all will continue to strive for excellence...

But I wan to end with a great praise to the Lord as It is really by His strength tt I have endure this far in teaching... I kinda like it and hope can venture more into this. I really wan more of Him though I am quite tight with my teaching schedule... Hope this yr is another great and awesome yr of revitalisation.

A Touching Story of rememberance

Jane is a typical college girl who enjoys life to the fullest. She loves her boyfriend so much and texts him every now and then. Mark is Jane's boyfriend who works in a call centre in Los Angeles. He's always busy doing so many things. He only manage to reply to Jane's texts when he got off from work.

One time Mark receive a message from jane : 'hi baby! how are you? i miss you! call my house when u get home..take care! i love you!' Mark ignored the message because he always receive the same message whenever it is time for him to go home from work.

'baby, i miss you..did u eat yet?! Take care when you get home! ill be waiting for your call.. i love you!'

'baby, where are you?! its unfair that you don't reply to my texts... well, im just gonna wait for your call... i love you!'

Mark reaches home and lay on his bed. The last time he knew is that he's reading Jane's text. He was so tired he fall asleep and wasn't able to return jane's call. He can still hear his phone beeps but he's too tired to take a glimpse on the message. When he woke up the next day, he remembers that he needs to call Jane. He ignored the messages and dialed Jane's .. No one's answering in her house. He called up her cellphone and he was surprised that her father answered the call. In his voice you can feel his tears and hear his heart tearing apart.

'Mark, why havent you called? Jane was waiting for your call all night!'

'Dad im sorry. i fell asleep being so tired from work... i was calling ur house but no one was answering. where are you? so i can come over.'

'Just meet me at jane's house.' Mark went to Jane's house and much to his surprised he saw a lot of people inside. The house were so lighted but you can see the gloom on every person you'll meet there. He was greeted by Jane's mom on tears. She hug him tight and cried on his shoulders.

'Jane was waiting for you. She didn't come with us because she was waiting for your call. She was killed by robbers that broke in our house. She's gone, Mark. She's gone.'

'thats impossible..she texted me..how could this happen?!' Mark can't look who's inside the coffin. He can't move and it feels like his whole body is stuck on the chair he's seating on. He wanted to cry but it seems that something is blocking his tears to fall down. He turned to his phone and read the messages of Jane.

'baby, im not coming with my mom and dad..im just gonna wait for your call...'

'baby..im so scared... it seems like theres someone downstairs..please call me now!'

'baby..someones here..i'm afraid they might kill me...please call me now, where are you? i need you here...'

'baby.... i love you...!' He wanted to shout and cry so loud. It's true that Jane is waiting for his call. Up to her last breath she only thinks about him. He stared at Jane inside the coffin. Suddenly tears starts flowing down his cheeks. He can't say anything. The only words he uttered... 'My baby, i'm so sorry! I could have known, i could have fought for you! i'm really sorry! I love you so much!' Now, pass this on right after u've read it...

Hopefully this would be a good lesson to those who never read or reply messages in time... And one point to note : A 'mobile' phone is meant to be mobile so that it's ALWAYS with you... So make sure it serves its purpose, and please be responsible to use it well!

What Happens in Heaven

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received." I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section. The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings that people asked for are processed anddelivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and werebeing packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station.

To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed "How come there's no work going on here?" I asked. "Its really sad" the angel sighed. Have been watching Joyce Meyer Podcasts and was really touched on the message on world missions. I really feel the need to contribute into world missions. I think it is the real essence to Christianity. The calling to reach out is so strong... I think prayer and fasting and giving is impt to bless the different missions trip tt we contribute to the transformation of ppl's lives.

Are you helping anybody? A qns you can ask urself and how u can transform ppl's lives and connects with ppl. How you can feed and educate ppl? U may not be physically there but your giving can make a difference to world missions.

I think it is sth we shld ponder to reach out to our frens. You got to start sth to get the ball rolling... It is really on reaching OUT and Go Ye all ppl to reach out to the world. You got to renew your mind according to God's word so that you will not be affect with the negative ting in your life. You got to be positive and in sync with God's word.

God will remember us, test us and flourish us!!!

If you notice the timing of my blog, u will be shock to see tt it is the first time I blog at this hour... It is 650am and I am kena "chase" out of house due to unreasonable nagging over the computer not switch off. It happen when I was juz typing my account into the computer in the morning to check my fiances den my mother came into the room and saw the computer switch on den the whole nagging process started. She started saying idiotic stuff of me and saying tt where got teacher use computer 24/7 like mad man... But If u all look at it, aren't today society using computers 24/7? But nvm it is rational for her to think tt way as she is lowly educated... I'm understanding enough for tt statement... A rebuttal for using the computer 24/7 is not true, as n fact I haven't been using computer for long hours unlike last yr. I do admit computer is dear to me, but I no longer use it often le. Den she move on to complain abt church den started scolding my sis for gg to be the next idiot where I start to defend the situation tt if she is angry with me, she shld juz target me n not my sis... Den she say she have the right to cruse anyone she like... However, I think her thinking is so wrong la... Aiya, I really losing hope in my family... God Pls save... Lord, I'm praying for more and more of you... Still feeling bad after all the things had happen... I really lost with my family... Sighz...

It has been so long since I last blog... Have been busy lately as I was busy teaching since Jan 2 till now... I am like working as a full shift teacher from morning 730am till 930pm, every Mon-Fri... But consider tt I need to be awake at 630am till midnight as I always come home, eat dinner, check email and MSN... I am like working abt 18hours... Almost like Superman like tt... Now I start to feel tired lately as there wasn't enough rest for me... So now I must plan my time wisely and so tt I can have enough rest and not burn myself out... So far teaching was good and most prob I am looking forward to be into teaching line for long... Luckily my sat n sun is for resting but sat I also need to teach at the tuition center but later timing at 9am - 530pm...

I like the environment of where I am now... In East Spring Sec as relief teacher, I am teaching PE, though it is weird but kinda get a hand of it now... Except for some classes, sorry tt I can't make ur lesson interesting as I wasn't really a good experienced PE teacher, however, so far so good. AS for CPA lesson with the normal technical classes of 1T1 & 2T1, it is taxing as they do not know how to behave themselves at times but it is a privilege to teach them... Though I can be quite a Piss off person and scold them fiercely, it is really for their own good. Also I have a form class which is 2T1, they are like a bunch of students tt really get me on nerves at times but also some of them really show me good impression of them. Hope tt during my stay, I can be an impact to them to change for the better... I really hope u all wun be punish again in class...

On my tuition center, so far all my classes are far be it the P3 maths, English, science at both Blk 750 or LP, they are all nice kids... As for P4 English, P5 Sc and P6 Sc, they are all good students too... I also teach S1 Maths at both 750 n LP and it was good students... I also taught S2 maths where the students really make teaching a challenge, as they always have alot of comment on gossips and stuff in their schools. Next the worst nightmare I ever had is the S3 chem. Somehow I felt tt the class is against me as they simply wun communicate with me nor the classmates and they are all very reserved in their speech and it is scary in teaching them. Maybe they are all from good schools tt they think they are better or wat, But I felt sad to see these attitudes in students as if they do not build up their EQ level, it is a great disadvantage to them when they step into the working world... But I hope I can make the lesson less taxing n boring and hoping for the best to come... I wish myself to press on more and may the light shines at the end of the tunnel...

Wat I have done for this new year!!!

Looking through some of my fren's blog... Most of them are planning their new year resolution, some of them were doin reflection...

For me, I shall start by wat I did on NEW YEAR EVE, I was invited by Mr Shy aka Jasen, for his friend's countdown at Amara Hotel... Though when I reach there, I felt weird and awkward as I don't really know them... But I was fast in blending in... I like the Host, Paige as she did her job well in entertaining the crowd and make ppl feel at ease... As the ppl start to flock in, we also start playing TaiDi, a form of poker card game... Abt 8pm, most of the ppl are there. Paige starts to open up wine and liquor... I have a taste of 1982 n 1988 red wine... The taste was superb.... I almost finish the 1982 red wine myself, I drank abt 3/4 I guess... Next was Vodka Peach, where we had challenge game... Also Vodka pear, which to me was horrendous mix, and Chivas Regal. What I notice is tt I din slp the whole night as we were playing game thru out the night... Abt 6am, A few of us take the first train home... TT is how I spent my New Year.

Next, On my Job venture. I started work on Jan 2 as a tuition teacher at A & A Educational Group. AS to date, lesson have been good and I kinda like the teaching... I have Pri & Sec level teaching English, Mathematics and Science. Teaching location is either at Loyang Point or Blk 750 at Pasir Ris... Also, I am taking relief teaching at East Spring Sec, but the funny thing is instead of teaching tradition subject like Geography or Chinese ( which I taught Last Yr) or Mathematics or Science, I was asked to teach PE & CPA (Computer Applications)...

Next talk abt reflection... So far 2007 I can grp it into first half and second half... During the First Half of the year, it was bad as I do not have any allowance even though I was working... I was working as an interior designer... Though the turn out shld reap good return but I wasn't really good I guess in tt line... Next I took up a part time telemarketer call center and slowly pick up my income and also go back to tuition teaching... By the second half of the year, I manage to pick up my income and end the Yr good with my square 1 saving inside the bank... I also took admin assistant as a temp job... I also become active in Church as my dream and destiny unfold... I like lingering in church and grow, it is where I find my purpose... So though I start the yr bad but Praise God I end it well...

SO this Yr resolution is special as I move into teaching line as my Full time career, I'm hoping for more opportunity into this industry... I also sign up for gym and intend to do sth abt my body and beef up myself... I was even thinking maybe of Finding my Life partner as my CG is looking forward, but some how or another I dun think I'm ready yet but will be on the look out... As now I'm a full pledge teacher, I hoping I can mange my time well and spend it wisely... Hope this yr as wat pst say will be the best yr tt is yet to come...

CHANGE IS NECESSARY FOR GROWTH

This new year we must make a decision to reflect ourselves and see what are the changes we need to make to better improve ourselves for this coming new year. Be it Christian or not, let us be open to change as this sermon can changes ur destiny in life.

[Mt 18:1-4] UNLESS
We got to be willing to make changes and adjustment in life.
Repentance => in essence mean change, to change your life, cause of direction. It is not juz abt sin or condemnation. Re-, means to go back to sth. -Pent mean the highest places you can go. Repent means to go back to the highest way of thinkings, also mean to go back to the original source of God's thought, getting your thinking in line with God. Change in the mind and thinking and laid hold of wat God has in store for you.

Without change you cannot change your destiny. You cannot enjoy the promises of heaven when you do not change. Only changes will bring abt peace, joy, hope. You got to change as changes is necessary for progress. More thing will change as you progress and grow. Changes is constant and continual. The moment you stop changing, you stagnant in life and die off. Every thing in life requires changes.

Without changes there is no growth. Progression is only possible with changes, that is why company have to restructure, education system have to change to the modern world and etc. Change's greatest enemies is tradition. When you become tradition and stick to tradition, you are refusing to change. As born again, tongue-speaking believers, we got to know how to change. If we refuse to change we will be left behind, and called lack of innovation. Transformation is vital, inevitable. You got to be discipline to change, appreciating every opportunity to change, seizing the moment.

3 steps to changes
1. Decision – all changes begins with a decision. Ppl wun change when they have not decide to change. When you n=made a decision to change, tt situation of urs is no longer an option.
2. Dedication – it requires commitment. With commitment comes responsibility, and responsibility comes accountability.
3. Discipline – stay focus and courages & filled with faith.

5 reasons for resistant to change
1. Pride – I'm alright, I dun need to change. Understand that changes is not a one time event.
2. Fear – I'm afraid to change, what if. You are not able to launch out into the deep to take action but be paralyse by your limitation.
3. Rebellion – I dun care, I juz want it tt way. Stubbornness, stiff neck, in denial to change your situation.
4. Laziness – I'm oki with wat I have now. To be in juz enough or in lack, not willing to go the extra mile.
5. Ignorance – I din know I need to change. Fools din change and the death can't change. When change is necessary, not to change is destruction.

Dun change only when u hit a crisis, but changes as n when it is inevitable. Be wise when you change. Change is inevitable, either you lead the change or change will lead you.
My ability to lead the change will determine my success.

New Year Resolutions!!!

I have ended my admin work since Dec 12 though I didn't update den. The job scope there was pretty oki but the PR of the office is really bad. But glad to say I did enjoy myself den with the paid given to me and time well spent as I have been growing in the word during my free times working there. It is almost like paying me to read the Bible. As I finish my work fast, I have alot of time to read my Bible and mediated on the Word. I have become strong in the word throughout the month of work. After my work end, I was busy prepare church and cell grp things and make me more responsible for my CG, I also not forget to find my new jobs. In the end, all praise and glory to God, I found a teaching job as a tutor in a tuition center and offer me a good pay, I also being asked back for relief teaching at East Spring Sec Sch. So I really amazed at this new year with so many opportunities given to me in teaching...

Since Nov 15- Dec 12, I was busy working as admin assistant n Rohde & Schwarz. In between the work days, I actually attend a youth camp organised by CHC. It was a great experience as you see all the youth gather together for a time of fellowship and discipleship in the Word. I even had picture taken during that time which can be found in my msn spaces. Den during the mth of Nov we also have powerful speaker like Rev Ulf Ekman & Rev Phil Pringle ministering to us.

Rev Phil Pringle did an extraordinary svc for us. He actually paint and preach at the same time, which was first time in our svc. It was so awesome, the first night is on the twelve disciples and the second night is on the Cross.

Next, We also have powerful msg by our own pastors like Rev Kong, Pst Tan whom they prepare us for the Building Funds, Xmas svc and more. We had a wonderful spectacular svc drama production by our own members. It was a great svc spread throughout the four days from Dec 22-25, 7 svc, at both expo and jurong west premises. It was the largest production ever by our church. Really thanks God for all the wonderful staffs of CHC that make it possible and also the church members when they are all out to reach out to the frens this xmas season by spreading love and giving.

I also celebrate my B'day on Dec 20 with my cg members they were all so kind and great as they came to my chalet and celebrate with me. So blessed to have them in my life as they are the one who brightens my life. Thanks God for them... Not fogeting Ms Patient Carol whom also drop by to celebrate, hope she can join us for more event. I was also invite for a xmas celebration at Her house with Sing Yee, Ailin, Chia, Huan Li...

This New Year 2008, I hoping for a tremedous change in my life...

This is beautiful! Try not to cry. This story goes abt a mother's love for her child.

She jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: 'How is my little boy ? Is he going to be all right ? When can I see him ?'

The surgeon said, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.'

Sally said, 'Why do little children get cancer ? Doesn't God care any more ? Where were you, God, when my son needed you ?'

The surgeon asked, 'Would you like some time alone with your son ? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.' Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair. 'Would you like a lock of his hair ?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, 'It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the University for Study. He said it might help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on, 'My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.' Sally walked out of Children's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room. She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said : 'Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You' . I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD ! And guess what, Mom ? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom ? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him ?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children. Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool ? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery ! How about that ? Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

A breakthrough requires a trial to break through.

It would be nice to simply wake up one day and suddenly be a mature Christian, but in order to grow up in God, we will have to go through trials. There is no other way to grow strong spiritually than to go through trials.
1 Peter 5:10 says, And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. You may not like trials, but this verse says that when you are going through trials after you have suffered a little while, you will grow to be firmly rooted and grounded (strong, firm and steadfast) in God.
Similarly, James 1:12 says, Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. Here again, you don't get the rewards (the crown of life) until you have persevered under trial and stood the test.
So, learn to be thankful in your trials, because in order to get your breakthrough, you need a trial to break through.
Therefore, don't be discouraged during times of suffering. Know that after you have suffered a little while, God himself will make you strong firm and steadfast.
Your gifts can take you somewhere, but you need character to keep you there.
When a person, especially a minister, is very gifted, others often flock to that person. However, he or she must have Godly character in order to remain humble, so that the ministry won't turn sour.
If you have great gifts and you are waiting for God to promote you and wondering why He doesn't, check your character. Examine your Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Do you walk in love with others (John 13:34-35)? Do you purposefully look for ways to bless others and reach out to people (Luke 10:30-37)? Do you try to serve and put others first (Mark 9:35)? Do you keep your word and do what you say you will do (Psalm 15:1-5, especially notice v. 4)? Those are the key elements of character necessary for successful, lasting ministry.
Integrity, excellence, and faith are the only things that can keep you steady in the storms of life. If you lack those, then you lack Godly character.
If you lack character, then you may end up doing more harm than good to the name of God. Although your gifts may take you somewhere, you need character to keep you there.

Thankfulness depends on what is in your heart, not what is in your hand.

Most people have no trouble finding things to complain about: traffic is slow, gas is too expensive, the weather is bad, prices are too high. Yet in every single situation, that same person also has a lot to be thankful for: he can drive, has a car, has a shelter to be protected from the weather, and has the money to purchase necessary items.
Your circumstances may not be all that great, but wherever you are it is God's will that you give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18). As a Christian, that is possible because no matter what your circumstances are, you can always thank God for deliverance through Christ (see 2 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 7:24-25).
Indeed, the Israelites knew that thanksgiving was so important that part of the official duty of the tribe of Levi was to thank God: They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord (1 Chronicles 23:30). They had heart of thankfulness and were instructed to be thankful regardless of what happened that day.
The psalmist wrote: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name (Psalm 100:4). Notice that we can't even enter God's gates unless we're thankful.
It certainly is possible to live giving thanks to God the Father for everything (Ephesians 5:20), because thankfulness depends on what is in your heart, not what is in your hand.

4th Dimension and Releasing the Promises in you.

In Christ, we can experience the 4th Dimension which is the spiritual realm. N the 4th dimension is the one who governs all the 3rd dimensions.

4 things abt the 4th dimension living.
1. Thinking [Pro 23:7] (Faith & Fear nva co-exist)
Think beyond the box -> to experience God when your thoughts are in line with God. Putting e mind of Christ. Christianity and Success can go hand in hand. Thru out the Bible, all those who are in line with God are prosperous. God's plan is to prosper you so that you can be a blessing to others.
Deut 8:18, Luke 9:12-13, Jn 6:7-8, Mark 10:18-22, 27-30, Pro 10:22.
2. Believing
To believe, be believer. Make a decision / choice to live by faith. Make a commitment to prayer as passionate prayer will break thru block of ice [Mt7:7].
3. Dreaming / Visualizing
It is abt dreaming the dream and visualize wat u can get [Gen13:14-15, 15-1-5]. Faith will arise when you are able to move into the supernatural realm of God in dreaming the dreams and visions of your life.
4. Speaking / Confessing [Heb 11:3]
Confessing the promise of God's word over your life. Understand that Jesus came to become Flesh so that thru Him we are able to go back to God, and power is release thru Him. [Mk11:23]

POWER OF IMAGINATION, BELIEVE, CONFESSING!!!

It is one things to get promises from God but another things to see the promises release in your life.
[Gen 12:1-3 ]
Prosperity is the most common miracles found in the Bible as it give more opportunity for God to work in your life. Dun think that it is rare as it is the Devil's deceit.
[Gen 13:1,6 ]
It does not take a lot of faith for great prosperity. When you sow, you shall reap,seedtime and harvest will come to pass, guarantee of law of nature.. Prosperity come by simple obedience to God's word.
Power in the seed & faith in the word are impt principle. Believing in God's word with obedience, work hard and keep in order.
Different power in different promises. Patience in God;s word = promises being let loose.

3 Simple Things to Break the Hindrances in your life.
[Gen 15:1-3,12]
If you can't see & visualize wat God has for you, great promises that yet come to pass, the devil wil do wateva he can to stop you visualize it. If you can't see it, you can't have it.
[Ps 91:4] God's Promise is truth, Your protection in God.
[Acts 9:39] In the absence of fear, there is great faith.
[Gen 15:4-6] You got to rise up against the terror by night. Switch on the Lights and Pray, switch on the Praise & Worship, be strong b4 you slp.
[1 Sam 17:54] having sth as a wall of defence against the night terror, having the armour in your tent. Know that no weapons formed against you shall prosper, for God is with you. Keep your faith strong.
[Gen 20:17] Pray for the ppl what you loose on Earth will be loose in Heaven. Pray for others to prospers so that you can prosper. There is always somebody you can blessed. Being a prosperor, a person whom we can prosper.
[Eph 6:8] Wateva you do to others, God will do so to you.
[Gen 22:1-2,5] God can made anyth impossible possible. Know God's character, God will continue to do it again.
1. You need to guard yourselves against the night terror.
2. You need to pray for others.
3. God will work miracles & miracles again & again for us.

Willing to take it up, It is not luck but God's power & anointing.

Today is the 3rd day of work. So far so good juz tt today is a bit more tedious as more job is being taken over by me. My purpose is to take over the duty of this gal whom is gg to turn over another gal who went for maternity leave. My first day of work is like reporting there on time, it take quite a while before the HR ppl took me over to my department and show me ard. After I reach my department, I was literally stoning there as there wasn't much things for me yet as I still a newbie. First I was ask to do some simple faxing den slowly at the end of the day, I was being taught how to do Purchase Order(PO). The second day was to continue doing PO. But Lunch was interesting as my department actually have an outing so I happily tag along. Suppose to be a half day event but due to the overwhelming work we all return after lunch to continue our jobs. So the second day was more anticipated den the first day. But today was kinda bad as the jobs was overwhelming for the gal that she started to boss me or sow attitude, but I will forgive her as it could be the overwhelming work load on her. As i kept qnsing her how to do these and that as I wasn't sure how to do. So at point, I also feel like blowing my top but I resist as it must be hard for her. But in the end, I make sure I finish all my jobs before I off work for today, so that tmr I can have more time to do more things and at the same time help her. Hope tmr will be better... God bless everyone... Moving back to Jurong West Church hall soon... Yeah!!!

Love unexpressed is not love at all.

In John 13:34-35, Jesus instructed us—His followers—to love others: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." As Christians, learning to walk in love should be a very high priority.

Unfortunately, we often love others only superficially—that is, we talk love, but don't live love. James 2:15-16 addresses this problem: "Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?"

If you say that you love someone, but don't express it by what you do, then that "love" is worthless. Indeed, it isn't even real love.

Likewise, 1 John 3:17-18 asks, "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." Here again, we are instructed to love with actions—not just with our mouth.

Follow the instructions of Jesus: love one another. However, remember that real love must be accompanied by actions, because love unexpressed is not love at all.

Anything you have to hide to do is probably something you shouldn't be doing at all.

It can be difficult to find people of integrity, because so many people make mediocre compromises. At work, such people take every shortcut possible in order to finish the task as quickly as possible, even though they do a terrible job in the process. At school, mediocre people copy homework from friends and copy essays from the Internet just in order to avoid work while hoping to get a good grade, even though they're cheating and don't learn the material.

Unfortunately, many of the people who lack integrity are Christians. Yet, this is clearly not how God wants us to live. He desires that we be people of integrity.

Integrity means doing what is right when no one is looking, and it means going the extra mile, knowing that God sees everything and that what he sees in secret he will reward in the open (Matthew 6:4,6,18). Jesus told his disciples, "What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs" (Luke 12:3).

Whatever you do now, even if it is hidden from others, will be brought out into the open and made public. If you are wondering whether or not to do something, consider whether or not you'd be willing to do it in front of your boss, your teacher, your parents, or your pastor. If you have to hide what you're doing to feel comfortable, then there's a good chance you shouldn't be doing it at all.

I can't give away what I don't have: If I can't love others, it's because I don't know that God loves me.

It is obvious that in order to give away money, you must have money to give away, and in order to give away a car, you must have a car to give away. Likewise, in order to give away love, you must have love to give away.

That love -- true love -- can come only from God, for he is the only source of unconditional love. As followers of Christ, we are instructed to let God's love flow through us to the world: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34).

You are to love others as God loves you. However, if you don't know how much God loves you, then you can't love one another.

Leviticus 19:18 says, "Love your neighbor as yourself." Again, if you don't have love in you (for yourself and for God), then you can't love others.

So, if you're having trouble loving others, it's probably because you don't know how much God loves you.

Every problem is an opportunity to trust God.

We all experience difficulties, problems, and trials throughout life. Usually, we also look for ways to solve those problems. All of the various solutions basically ask one of these two questions: "What can I do to solve this?" Or, "What can God do to solve this?"

In other words, we either try to solve the problem on our own, or we let God solve it. Obviously, it is much wiser to give your problems to God.

Therefore, in the midst of your problem, Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Trust God to solve your problems. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal (Isaiah 26:4).

During your trials you should frequently quote Psalm 91:2: I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Furthermore, when you're truly trusting in God, there is nothing to worry about. Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me" (John 14:1).

Make this your cry: "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God" (Psalm 20:7).

Trust the Lord God Almighty in every area of your life, even during problems, because every problem gives you an opportunity to trust God.

JOY comes by putting Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.

Everyone wants to enjoy life. Many people place the source of their joy in what they own, in their reputation, in their status, or in other worldly things. Yet, all of those things are unstable and can easily evaporate, taking joy with them. In the end, we will depart this world just as we entered it--with nothing (Ecclesiastes 5:15). So, although all of these sensual pleasures may provide short-term happiness, they clearly fail to provide genuine, lasting joy (Ecclesiastes 2:10-11).

On the other hand, true joy is offered in Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Living life to the full includes living it overflowing with joy.

It's no wonder that the psalmist wrote, you will fill me with joy in your presence (Psalm 16:11). And You have filled my heart with greater joy ... (Psalm 4:7).

In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus quoted the first few verses of Isaiah 61 and applied it to Himself. In Isaiah 61:3, that quote continues by saying that he (in this case, Jesus) came to provide for those who grieve in Zion -- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

One of the side effects of Jesus coming to Earth was that we could have lasting joy. Indeed, the gladness and joy that so many people so desperately want can be found only in Jesus.

We want to be spiritually grown, but we don't like growing because growing hurts.

Growing can be painful. For example, some children have "growing pains" because of their rapid growth.

This can also be true spiritually. Specifically, God may stretch you by putting uncomfortable circumstances in your life. Why? He uses the hard times to stretch your faith, your patience, and your love. This stretching is what causes growth: "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:17).

In other words, God uses the difficult circumstances in your life to cause you to grow closer to Him. If you look back over your life, you'll probably notice that the times you grew the most spiritually were often the times that were the most difficult.

If, however, you fight against the hard circumstances in your life, then you will never fully grow up. So, instead of fighting against life, take the advice of James 1:2-4: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Decide to press on and go through so that your faith may grow. Go through the hard times in life trusting God, and then you will grow to be "mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Be a channel for God's blessings, not a reservoir.

Have you ever wondered why God may not be blessing you as much as you think he should? It could be because you've become a reservoir for God's blessings, rather than a channel.

If you're simply accumulating more and more rather than giving what has been given to you, then God probably won't bless you. However, if you give away the things that God gives you, then you become a channel through which his blessings flow. He blesses you so that you can bless others.

That's exactly what God promised to Abram: "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing" (Genesis 12:2). God promised to bless Abram so that he could be a blessing to others.

If you use what you have to bless others, then God will probably bless you with more (so that you can bless others even more). The Bible describes that principle using language of sowing and reaping: you reap what you sow (Galatians 6:7-8).

Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says, Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

These verses are a direct promise from God: If you will sow abundantly with a good (cheerful) attitude, then God will bless you. Why? So that you can bless others. Being a channel for God's blessings means passing them on to others.

This principle of sowing and reaping works in all areas of our life--not just money. You can bless others in ways that don't necessarily require money.

Decide to sow seeds of blessing aggressively, and you'll discover that God will provide a great abundance for you simply because you're a channel not a reservoir.

Power in Giving

God will nva shortchange us. When we choose to bless others, He who is faithful and just (1 John 1:9) will surely reward u in due season as the Bible had promised in Galatians 6:9 "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.."

Let us stand strong in these giving season. we have seen good report of how ppl give and in return be blessed. Y not let it be you? Aren't you one of God's child? If God can do it for them, He will surely do it again as HE is the God of abundance. It is His nature to bless those who are obedience to His word.
